Com2uS Holdings Partners with Gyeongnam Cultural Foundation to Foster Local Indie Game Talent

    By Editorial Team2025년 12월 09일Updated:2025년 12월 19일2 Mins Read

Com2uS Holdings announced on December 9 that it has signed a partnership agreement with the Gyeongnam Cultural Foundation to discover creative game developers and support promising game studios in the Gyeongnam region.

The agreement was formalized on-site during the 2025 Gyeongnam Content Fair, hosted by the foundation. The signing ceremony was attended by Choi Seok-won, CEO of Com2uS Platform (a subsidiary of Com2uS Holdings), and Kim Jong-bu, President of the Gyeongnam Cultural Foundation, reaffirming both organizations’ commitment to strengthening the local game development ecosystem.

    Driving Regional Indie Game Growth

Under the agreement, Com2uS Holdings and the foundation will work together to identify indie game studios based in Gyeongnam and help build a productive and sustainable development environment. The partnership aims to accelerate the growth of the regional game industry and cultivate a long-term creative ecosystem outside the Seoul-centric gaming landscape.

Com2uS Holdings Expands Nationwide Indie Support

The company has been actively expanding its support for the Korean indie game scene. Recently, it signed a global publishing deal with Wudangtang Runners, the winning title from its large-scale Game Challenge competition designed to uncover innovative new projects.

Com2uS Holdings was also selected as a 2026 lead partner for the Korea Creative Content Agency’s (KOCCA) upcoming indie game support program, further strengthening public–private collaboration for indie development.

    Gyeongnam’s Emerging Game Hub

The Gyeongnam Cultural Foundation operates the Gyeongnam Global Game Center, which focuses on nurturing a regional indie game industry independent of Seoul’s centralized market. The center provides incubation, production support, and commercialization programs aimed at turning Gyeongnam into a new hub for Korean game creation.

Founded in 2024 with 12 resident companies, the center now hosts 14 active studios, ranging from up-and-coming startups to established developers such as Play Mephisto Waltz, Gonggam Ore Contents, Aftertime, and Jelly Snow.
