    Over 220 Developers Attend ‘Backnd; Hot Time 2025’:
    Leading Studios and Indie Developers Share Practical Insights

    SEOUL, South Korea — April 17, 2025 — AFI Co., Ltd. (CEO Oh-Hyun Kwon), the company behind the global game server SaaS platform “Backnd; (뒤끝),” announced the successful conclusion of the 3rd Backnd; Hot Time Seminar 2025, held on Wednesday, April 16. The event drew more than 220 game developers and industry professionals.

    This year’s seminar featured a strong lineup of speakers from both major studios and independent developers, including:

    • Jae-Young Han, Executive Director at Smilegate (Road Nine)
    • Sung-Young Seo, CEO of SpringComms (Hello Town)
    • Dong-Sik Kang, CEO of AbyssWhiz (Roem Knock-off Game)
    • Yong-Jin Park, CEO of Ryong Games (Exorcist Sword Master Idle)
    • Jin-Young Choi, CEO of Libra Systems (Cattrix)

    Libra Systems’ CEO Jin-Young Choi gave a well-received talk on real-world applications of AI across game design, art, and development optimization. Ryong Games and AbyssWhiz shared honest stories of survival and success in the highly competitive mobile game market with limited resources, striking a chord with many indie developers in the audience.

    SpringComms’ CEO Sung-Young Seo analyzed current trends in the puzzle game market and outlined actionable strategies for global success. Smilegate’s Jae-Young Han offered an in-depth case study on how even large-scale studios can remain agile and take proactive steps to adapt to evolving markets.

    AFI CEO Oh-Hyun Kwon wrapped up the seminar with insights drawn from Backend’s journey of growing alongside its clients. He detailed critical metrics and operational practices that small studios must monitor for sustainable success.

    Attendees praised the event for delivering “invaluable insights covering the entire pipeline from planning to development and service operation.”
    Kwon added, “We hosted this seminar to support developers struggling in today’s difficult mobile game environment. We will also release the seminar’s key content as video materials for wider accessibility.”
