‘Miniature Electricity’, a healing puzzle set in a miniature electric shop

    By Editorial Team2026년 08월 10일6 Mins Read
    • A cozy miniature world presented by a Japanese solo developer… 100% positive demo reviews
    • A relaxing game featuring puzzles and repairs set in an electric shop… Scheduled for official release in 2026

Japanese indie game developer ANETTAI announced that it has added Korean as an official supported language through an update for the relaxing puzzle exploration game ‘Hakoniwa Electric,’ which is currently available as a free trial on Steam.

‘Miniature Electric’ is a healing puzzle game where you wander through charming miniature stages, solve puzzles, light up dark spaces, or repair broken items.

The player takes on the role of Akari, a new manager who inherits an electric shop from her grandfather while he is on vacation, and solves the minor problems of the villagers.

This game features isometric 3D visuals reminiscent of a miniature garden that fits in the palm of your hand, along with a calm atmosphere. Players can leisurely admire the scenery of the village and shops as they gradually regain their vibrancy with the changing seasons.

In this update, Korean has been added as an official supported language along with new puzzles. As a result, domestic users can now enjoy the game’s story and puzzles more comfortably.

Akari, the new manager who inherited her grandfather’s electric shop

The game begins with the protagonist, Akari, taking over an electric shop in place of her grandfather, who is on vacation in a southern country.

Akari opens her shop with her partner robot, Lampy, and solves the various problems brought by the villagers one by one as the seasons change. It is not simply a game about running an electronics store to sell goods; rather, the story unfolds naturally as you explore every corner of the village and resolve the residents’ issues.

In Akari’s ‘Monthly Report,’ which is updated every time a stage is cleared, you can check the emotions she felt while spending time in the village and the changes in her daily life. By following these records, the player gets a glimpse into the year Akari spends in the village.

Flipping the circuit breaker, fixing broken items… A stress-free healing puzzle

The core gameplay of ‘Miniature Electric’ is relatively simple.

First, solve the circuit breaker puzzle to supply electricity to the dark stage, and the surroundings will light up, revealing broken objects scattered throughout.

The player must examine various objects, such as record players and coffee makers, and find and solve the puzzles hidden within them. By solving problems in an intuitive manner, such as rotating circuit pieces to connect wires, the broken objects begin to work again once the puzzles are solved.

The game is characterized by a focus on the sense of accomplishment and comfort felt while solving puzzles one by one, rather than requiring complex calculations or repetitive trial and error.

There are a total of 12 miniature stages available, and in the currently released free demo, you can play the first two of them.

A miniature world like a garden in the palm of your hand… utilizing some AI

As can be seen from the Steam tags, ‘Miniature Electric’ creates a charming yet calm atmosphere centered around keywords such as ‘Cute’, ‘Isometric’, ‘Cozy’, and ‘Atmospheric’.

The isometric 3D stages, which feel like looking into a small garden on the palm of your hand, are the game’s most significant visual feature. The changing seasons, seamlessly integrated into the miniature space, create a cozy and warm atmosphere without the need for stimulating effects.

Meanwhile, the developer revealed through the ‘AI-generated content reveal’ section on the Steam demo page that they utilized AI in part of the game localization process. Specific details regarding background music or sound design are not currently available in the released materials.

Seriously devoted to ‘Cozy’… Japanese solo developer ANETTAI

The developer is ‘ANETTAI’, an indie game developer based in Japan. This new title, ‘Miniature Chronicle’, is his debut work and is being produced virtually as a one-man development project.

The developer introduces himself as a developer specializing in ‘Cozy’ sensibilities and atmospheric experiences. In fact, he focuses on creating comfortable gameplay that players can enjoy without pressure and a lovely miniature-style 3D world, and ‘Miniature Chronicles’ is a work that fully embodies this development philosophy.

Media spotlight since demo release, 100% positive Steam demo reviews

Since its initial reveal last February, ‘Miniature Electric’ has been featured in overseas gaming media outlets such as Gematsu, Niche Gamer, and Digitally Downloaded. In particular, its unique concept, which combines isometric puzzles and healing elements set against the backdrop of an electric shop, has garnered attention.

Last June, a free demo was released allowing players to play the first two stages ahead of Steam Next Fest. As of the time of writing, there are a total of 16 user reviews for the demo on Steam, and all of them have given positive ratings, recording a 100% approval rating.

With this update, the developer has added Korean language support along with new puzzles. This is interpreted as a move to promote the game to users in various regions, including Korea, and gauge their reaction ahead of the official launch.

‘Miniature Electric’ is a healing puzzle game that delivers comfort through the process of exploring a palm-sized miniature world and solving small problems, rather than through flashy action or intense stimulation.

In particular, it demonstrates a distinctive charm by combining a charming miniature world with the unique theme of an electric shop, created by a single developer. With increased accessibility for domestic users through Korean language support, attention is focused on what new puzzles and stories ‘Miniature Electric’ will introduce to further enhance its quality.
