During the “Indie World 2026.3.3” showcase, Nintendo dropped a 15-minute blitz of announcements, proving that the Nintendo Switch 2 is quickly becoming the new premier home for independent creators. From emotional puppy adventures to 3D dungeon-crawling sequels, the lineup for 2026 is looking stacked.
Four Major New Indie Releases Supporting Korean
▶ My Little Puppy

A standout emotional adventure told from the perspective of Bong-gu, a Welsh Corgi who leaves “Puppy Heaven” to find his owner by following their scent. Players will use canine senses to solve puzzles and explore beautifully rendered environments.

“Little Witch in the Forest” is a healing adventure game where you become an apprentice witch who just graduated from witch school and live in a forest village.
Gamers explore the forest, gather various ingredients, craft potions, solve villagers’ problems, and grow. Interacting with villagers, encountering forest creatures, and completing various quests create a relaxing atmosphere.
The Nintendo Switch version is scheduled for release in summer 2026 and will be available as download-only software.

Unrailed 2: Back on Track is the sequel to the popular cooperative railroad building game Unrailed!
Gamers team up to explore a vast world, gathering resources and laying tracks to keep trains moving. Compared to previous games, the game features expanded biomes, new environments, and a variety of boss monsters, further enhancing the tension and strategy of cooperative play.
It features chaotic cooperative play where you build a railroad with your friends and have to deal with unexpected situations.
It is scheduled to be released in May 2026, and a free trial version for the Nintendo Switch version is currently being distributed.
“Play It Now”: The Shadow Drops
Nintendo surprised fans by releasing three major titles immediately following the broadcast.
- Rotwood: From the creators of Don’t Starve (Klei Entertainment), this stylish brawler arrived as a Switch 2 console exclusive.
- Blue Prince: The 2025 Indie Game of the Year winner made its long-awaited debut on Switch 2.
- Minishoot’ Adventures: A unique mix of a twin-stick shooter and Zelda-style exploration, available now on both platforms.
Upcoming Highlights for 2026
The showcase also teased a variety of experimental genres coming later this year:
- The Midnight Walk (March 26): A dark, clay-animated horror adventure for Switch 2.
- Mixtape (May 7): A narrative road trip fueled by a 90s soundtrack.
- Ratatan (July 16): A rhythm-based roguelite from the original Patapon team, optimized for Switch 2.
- Blighted (Q4 2026): A new Metroidvania from the Guacamelee developers.
