Extraordinary Cooperative Cheating Simulator ‘Final Week’ to be Released in the Second Half

    By Editorial Team2026년 08월 22일4 Mins Read
    • A cooperative action game where you survive exam season by mobilizing every cheat tool with a 90s vibe.
    • An experimental work by an Italian studio that is creating a buzz on social media immediately after its release.

Italian game studio Studio Cimosa has unveiled a new cooperative exam cheating simulator called ‘Finals Week’ .

This game, in which you must pass your final exams with friends using all sorts of bizarre methods without studying at all, is quickly gaining popularity on social media due to its unique concept. A Steam page has been launched, and it is scheduled for official release in the second half of 2026.

From walkie-talkies to binoculars, a full lineup of 90s-style cheating tools

The surveillance is tight. Not only do supervisors patrol every corner of the classroom, but they also listen intently to the students’ whispers. Players must break through this precarious surveillance and pass the exam using only cooperation and cleverness.

90s-style equipment exuding an analog vibe also catches the eye. It requires bold plays, such as using walkie-talkies, old cell phones, and binoculars to search for textbooks where the answers are hidden, or stealing the work of the top student sitting next to you who studied all night.

The highlight is the method of delivering the answer. Signal exchange using all sorts of objects is standard, and in urgent situations, the comical staging of scribbling the answer on a friend’s face like a chalkboard elicits laughter.

If cheating is discovered, one must pay a heavy price, such as wearing various penalty devices. This includes the so-called “Cone of Shame,” which resembles the neck collars commonly worn by pets, further enhancing the game’s unique cheerful and comical atmosphere.

A school action adventure mixing stealth and comedy for up to 6 players

The game supports online cooperative play that up to 6 people can enjoy together.

Just by looking at the tags adorning the Steam store page—stealth, comedy, adventure, first-person perspective, character customization, and more—it is clear what the game aims for. With all sorts of outlandish methods employed, this game heralds the birth of a new ‘comic cooperative stealth game’ that you can enjoy with friends while rolling on the floor laughing.

The trials proceed in a manner where the difficulty gradually increases. Players must secure information while avoiding surveillance that changes with each trial, share answers with teammates, and overcome crises together.

The concept of the game was also influenced by actual exam cheating occurring on university campuses. The developer explained that the game’s idea was inspired by findings from a survey by the International Center for Academic Integrity, which revealed that more than 60% of university students admitted to having cheated on exams.

DESTINYbit’s experimental sub-label, a delightful concept born in Italy

Studio Cimosa is an Italy-based game development studio and a sub-label of DESTINYbit, known for showcasing more experimental and lighthearted games.

They are characterized by producing works that break away from standardized genre conventions or serious simulations, prioritizing humor and unique ideas. ‘Final Week’ is also introduced as a work that showcases the studio’s style by taking the familiar subject of exam cheating and tackling it with cooperative stealth and comedy.

The audacious taboo of ‘cheating’ as a new trend in the global indie scene

The unveiled trailer immediately stirred up the global gaming community. This is because it brought the taboo of “cheating”—something everyone has imagined at least once during their school days—to the game through the fun of cooperative multiplayer and comical direction.

Recently, cooperative genres themed around exam cheating have been targeting niche markets and establishing themselves as a trend in the indie scene. The initial sensation of ‘Final Week’ is also the result of this clever planning aligning with market needs.

Ultimately, the key lies in the depth of the content. As detailed pricing and specific gameplay mechanics have not yet been revealed, it remains to be seen whether it can achieve long-term success beyond being a simple concept game, and further developments will need to be monitored.

‘Final Week’ is scheduled for official release on PC Steam in the second half of 2026. Attention is focused on what kind of strategic fun and thrilling tension this extraordinary cooperative gameplay, in which up to six players form a team to secure and share answers while avoiding the teacher’s surveillance, will offer to actual users.
