The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister Choi Hwi-young) and the Korea Content Agency (Acting President Yoo Hyun-seok, hereinafter KOCCA) are recruiting companies to participate in the ‘2026 Content Startup Support Program,’ which supports the entire cycle of promising content companies, from discovery to growth. This program will select a total of 42 projects across three fields and provide commercialization funds and growth support programs.

◆ Establishment of a system to foster early-stage startups
The ‘2026 Accelerator Linkage Support’ program selects and operates two startup accelerators and 18 content companies that have been in business for seven years or less. It provides up to 90 million won in commercialization funds and startup incubation programs per company.
Selected companies can leverage the expertise and networks of startup accelerators to receive investment linkages, professional consulting, and networking support. Through this, the plan is to enhance business competitiveness and promote the growth of a private-sector-led startup ecosystem.
In addition, it expands growth opportunities by supporting outstanding companies to advance to the finals in conjunction with the inter-ministerial startup competition ‘Challenge! K-Startup’ content league.
◆ Securing competitiveness for the leap forward stage through investment linkages
The ‘2026 Investment-Linked Startup Leap Program’ targets 12 companies with a track record of attracting private investment. It provides up to 180 million won in commercialization funds to companies that have secured a single investment of 400 million won or more since January 2024.
The purpose of this program is to verify the growth potential and marketability of companies based on their investment attraction track record, and to support attracting additional investment and business expansion. It plans to establish a foundation for sustainable growth by extending the investment recognition period and providing opportunities for follow-up investment.
◆ Expanding shared growth through collaboration with leading companies
The ‘2026 Leading Company-Linked Shared Growth Support Program’ is operated in cooperation with major leading companies such as Naver Cloud, Lotte World, Samsung C&T, Epic Games Korea, Gen.G, and Hyundai E&C. It selects 12 content companies that have been in business for 3 to 7 years and provides them with up to 68 million won in commercialization funds and opportunities to carry out joint business projects.
The selected companies will pursue the development of new services, joint content planning, technology verification, and commercialization linkages with leading companies, and through this, plan to expand the foundation for cooperation within the content industry and create new growth paths.
