Turning a Discarded Warrior into a Hero?: Fake Clear Video Production Simulation
Scheduled for a free-to-play release on Steam on February 6, 2026.

Indie game development team Team Afternoon announced that they will be releasing their new game with a unique concept, “Trust Me, I Nailed It,” for free on Steam on February 6th.

This game features a unique concept: taking on the task of creating a perfect “fake clear video” for a failed dungeon raid. Set in a retro Windows 98-style setting, gamers take on the role of a video editor, not a tactician, who stitches together clips of poorly executed dungeon raids to create a “perfect victory” that doesn’t actually exist.

Create miracles with the 8-tick timeline

The core of the game is precise timeline editing. Players must preview the timeline to identify enemy attack patterns, then arrange clips of “movement,” “melee attack,” “ranged attack,” and “defense” along an 8-tick timeline to create a perfect action sequence. The development team emphasized the game’s precision, stating, “Not a single frame of compromise is acceptable when it comes to creating miracles.”

Post-processing features utilizing VFX are also provided. Small successes can become dramatic scenes, and close calls can be transformed into perfect plays. Achieving optimization goals like “filling all timeline slots,” “landing two or more effective hits,” and “clearing without taking damage” also increases available memory capacity.

A delightful gap between shameless requests and heroic praise

The game presents a unique storytelling experience through the ironic contrast between the hero’s brazen request emails and the flood of hero-praising news articles flooding the computer desktop. While the world sees a “savior,” the player sees the raw, chaotic truth. This setup leads to a satirical narrative of a demon king’s conquest, crafted through a fake clear video.

“Don’t You Trust Me?” combines turn-based strategy, puzzle, and simulation genres, and was published by Jungle Game Lab. It will be available for free on Steam on February 6, 2026.
