    Chungnam Global Game Center, Business Performance ‘A Grade’ for 2 Consecutive Years

    Chungnam Global Game Center and Chungnam Contents Enterprise Support Center supported by Asan City achieved ‘A grade’ in business performance evaluation for two consecutive years.

    In the evaluation of regional base-type operation conducted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Korea Creative Content Agency) of Asan City, the Chungnam Contents Enterprise Support Center received Grade A, and the Chungnam Global Game Center also achieved Grade A in the evaluation of regional-based game industry development projects. said.

    As a result, both centers achieved the splendid achievement of grade A for two consecutive years, and in 2022 received 670 million won in government funds as incentives, securing a total of 2.87 billion won in national expenses.

    Chungnam Global Game Center intensively supports game companies selected through an average competition ratio of 4:1 among excellent small and medium-sized game companies, and 24 game companies have moved into the center so far.

    Among them, six companies with cumulative sales of more than 10 billion won are included, and it is said that the game support for production in 2021, when the soft launch is completed, has already achieved 1 billion won in publishing contract and 1 billion won in investment attraction before commercialization. .

    Asan City is working to expand the local content industry base by additionally supporting the budget for accommodation support for employees of the center’s resident companies this year as in 2021, and to form a win-win structure between local rental companies, small business owners, and content companies incumbents.

    Jeon Byung-kwan, director of Asan City Welfare and Culture Bureau, said, “Achieving Grade A for two consecutive years at the two centers is a monumental achievement that confirms the power of Asan’s content industry. I will do my best,” he said.

    The city of Asan has secured 18.7 billion won in government expenditure and 10.3 billion won in provincial funds in 2022 through the two centers, and is contributing to revitalizing the local economy as a content industry with high added value, such as creating a whopping 289 new jobs in the past two years.
