    Nexon ‘2022 Nexon Developer Conference (NDC)’ online opening

    Nexon (CEO Lee Jung-heon) opened the ‘2022 Nexon Developers Conference (NDC)’ online on the 8th, which is called the largest game industry knowledge sharing platform in Korea.

    The NDC22 lecture, which will be held from the 8th to the 10th, can be freely viewed by anyone without registration through the NDC official website and YouTube channel. There are a total of 60 lectures (55 public sessions, 5 private sessions), covering topics in various fields such as metaverse, NFT, programming, data analysis, and career.

    This year, industry workers and related experts will gather to explore the future development direction of the game from various perspectives and pass on the technical experience and know-how accumulated during the actual development process.

    First, Daehyun Kang, COO of Nexon, who gave a keynote under the theme of ‘Blockchain and the Evolution of the Virtual World’, discusses the characteristics of blockchain technology and game design methods suitable for it, and its potential as an ‘integrated platform’ that goes beyond the physical limitations of the existing virtual world. talked about At the same time, the NFT-based ecosystem ‘MapleStory Universe’ using Nexon’s core IP, ‘MapleStory’, was prepared by surprise.

    Daehyun Kang, COO, said, “The MapleStory universe is a shared space for MapleStory NFT, and we expect it to be a part of the evolution of the virtual world where the game and blockchain worlds converge. Building a viable ecosystem is what Nexon thinks of the evolved virtual world.”

    In the newly added Metaverse & NFT field, Professor Seung-Joo Kim of Korea University, a blockchain expert, and Professor Sang-Kyun Kim of Kyunghee University, an authority on the domestic metaverse, will speak as speakers and discuss the development direction of the game. In addition, we share insights gained from conducting related projects in companies such as Nexon Korea’s ‘Project MOD’ and Soonsoon Studio’s ‘SPUM’.

    The development experience of recently released or planned new products is also disclosed. Developers such as ‘Prasia Electric’, ‘Kart Rider: Drift’, and Project Magnum, which are being developed by Nexon Company, ‘Victory: Nike’, and ‘Thy Creature’, a growing seed, participated in the development process as speakers.     In addition, employees from major game companies such as NCsoft, Epic Games Korea, Devsisters, Embarc Studios, and Wonder People will participate to give lectures on the latest technologies for making high-quality games and know-how for career growth of game industry talents.

    Meanwhile, the ‘Nexon Developers Conference (NDC)’, which started as a private in-house event in 2007 and converted to a public conference in 2011, has reached 240,000 cumulative visitors and has established itself as a representative game knowledge sharing forum for mutual growth in the industry. Up to now, 1,200 experts have been actively sharing game knowledge and experiences, giving about 1,000 lectures as speakers.
