The Busan Indie Connect Festival Organizing Committee and the Korea Content Creative Agency are recruiting participants for ‘Steam Indie Connect: Private K-Indie Developer Night to Meet the Valve Team,’ a private networking event where domestic indie game industry professionals can meet directly with teams from Valve headquarters, the operator of the global game distribution platform Steam.
Applications will be accepted until 23:59 on Wednesday, October 14. The event will be held offline on Tuesday, October 27 at the ‘Ground B’ cafe near Gangnam Station in Seoul, and will also be live-streamed online for pre-selected attendees.

A venue for K-Indie developers aiming for global expansion
This event was organized to provide K-indie developers and small-scale publishers aiming to enter the global market with the opportunity to communicate directly with representatives from Valve headquarters and to offer practical feedback on distribution and marketing.
The target participants are industry professionals, including indie game developers and small-scale publishers.
From Steam performance analysis to Q&A and Happy Hour
The program consists of three parts.
The first is the ‘Steam Update Session,’ which will share an analysis of Steam’s performance in the global and Korean markets as well as launch guidelines. The second, the ‘Q&A Session,’ will proceed with pre-submitted questions and on-site Q&A. Finally, a ‘Networking & Happy Hour’ will be held with three members of the Steam team from Valve headquarters.
Interpretation support without language barriers
Comprehensive interpretation services will be provided throughout the event. Real-time simultaneous interpretation and Korean-translated slides will be supported for all sessions, and dedicated interpreters will be assigned to each of the three members of the Steam team during Networking & Happy Hour.
The organizers explained that participating developers and publishers can receive specific one-on-one feedback on launch strategies, marketing, localization, and operational know-how tailored to their games.
Application Method and Important Notes
Industry professionals wishing to participate must submit an application by 23:59 on Wednesday, October 14. Admission is limited to those whose final participation has been confirmed after pre-registration; no additional on-site registration will be accepted.
