Sogang University is seeking trainees to participate in the Youth Employment Academy University+ ‘AI-Specialized Game Development Convergence Talent Training Program’

This course fosters practical talent capable of utilizing generative AI in game planning, art, and development, and trainees’
This is a program that supports projects to lead to portfolios, employment, entrepreneurship, and game launches.
The education consists of the ‘AI Convergence Game Development Course,’ which teaches game development basics and AI utilization capabilities for specific job roles, and actual games.
It is operated as an ‘AI-specialized game development project course’ focused on production and commercialization.
A total of 52 trainees will be selected across the planning, art, and development roles in the two programs, and applications for the project program can also be submitted as a team. Trainees will be provided with high-spec equipment, support for AI asset subscription and production, and team-specific project spaces.
Outstanding projects will be provided with a total of 50 million won in reward opportunities, as well as follow-up support including dedicated space for 3 to 6 months, technology advancement, and launch mentoring.
The Korea Artificial Intelligence Game Association and the Korea Game Developers Association cooperate in operating employment and startup linkage programs, and industry experts
We support practical, hands-on programs such as mentoring, recruitment matching, IR pitching, and participation in external exhibitions.
The target audience includes young people who wish to enhance their game development capabilities using generative AI, indie developers aiming for game commercialization, and applicants hoping to create a team project-based portfolio.
Applications are accepted until 11:59 PM on October 5, and detailed eligibility requirements and selection procedures can be found on the official website.
A Sogang University official stated, “By linking AI education with practical game projects, we are cultivating practical talents needed in the industrial field.
“We will foster them,” they said, adding, “We plan to support trainees so they can take on challenges ranging from game production and release to employment and entrepreneurship.”
