- London Game Festival · A MAZE Berlin Official Selection, Tiny Teams Festival Release
- ‘Needle Finding Simulator’ to find the one and only soulmate in London, Paris, Amsterdam, New York, and Tokyo
London, Paris, and Tokyo. A unique indie game is about to be released in which you must find the one and only ‘soulmate’ among millions of pigeons filling these real cities.
Pigeon: A Love Story, a unique ‘needle finding simulator’ developed by London-based indie developer Wristwork and published by Tiny Dragon, will be released simultaneously on Steam, iOS, and Android platforms on August 6.
This title was recognized for its originality even before its release, being selected for the official selections of the London Games Festival and A MAZE Berlin. It is also scheduled to be featured at the Tiny Teams Festival, an indie game event organized by Yogscast Games, and a v1.1 demo with new features is currently available for free play on Steam.
Millions of pigeons filling a real city
The biggest features of Pigeon: A Love Story are the city realized on a real scale and the overwhelming number of pigeons.
Representative cities from around the world, such as Trafalgar Square in London, the area around the Eiffel Tower in Paris, and the bustling streets of Tokyo, are rendered in near-realistic proportions, and the streets are filled with a realistic number of pigeons. The greatest charm of this work is the original concept that you must find just one soulmate among millions of pigeons.
The game’s atmosphere is quirky yet surprisingly serious. Although based on an absurd premise, the process of freely flying over the city, landing on rooftops, and exploring conveys a relaxed and comfortable sense of gameplay.
The sounds of the city environment blend naturally with the distinctive cooing of pigeons to enhance realism, and you can not only play in single-player mode but also set out to find a soulmate through cooperative play with a friend.
Fly, land, and court to find your soulmate.
The goal of the game is simple: to find the one and only fated partner among millions of pigeons.
The player freely flies through the city, attempts to court other pigeons, and searches for their true soulmate by observing their different reactions.
In the latest v1.1 demo, a new Rooftop Landing feature has been added, reflecting community feedback. Designed to incorporate user requests for a place to rest, this system goes beyond simple movement to offer a new kind of fun by allowing players to explore secret landing spots hidden throughout the city.
The scope of exploration has been significantly expanded, allowing you to look around the city from a perspective different from flying. The updated demo is currently available for free download on Steam.
