The Play Expo secretariat and the Korea Indie Game Association announced on the 21st that they are looking for entries for the ‘Indioraksil’ offline game exhibition of PlayX4 (Play Expo).
‘Indie Oraksil,’ which celebrated its fourth round this year, was planned to help promote the game by discovering a team that develops promising indie games, starting with PlayX4 (Play Expo) in 2018. The event will be prepared to demonstrate various indie games at the Play Expo exhibition booth and enjoy them. This PlayX4 (Play Expo) will be held offline at Kintex, Ilsan, from May 11th (Thursday) to 14th (Sunday).
Applications for participation in the ‘Indiorak Room’ can be received by filling out the application questionnaire from March 21 (Tue) to April 2 (Sun). Participation in ‘Indioraksil’ is possible for any indie game developer (team) without platform restrictions such as PC, mobile, VR, AR, etc., as long as there is a playable build. Participating teams will receive benefits such as providing a booth, opportunities for game promotion and press releases, networking with publishers, and opportunities to participate in developer conferences (planned).
The final selection is made after a fair screening by 10 game experts and association officials.
Hong Young-ki, vice president of the Korea Indie Game Association, said, “Indioraksil has established itself as Korea’s only game exhibition for indie games, and the satisfaction of the participating developers has been very high.” It will be like rain for indie game developers in a drought as it encourages the development of various types of games while saving the game and helps foster Korean indie games and expand the game ecosystem.”
Applications for PlayX4 (Play Expo) ‘Indioraksil’ exhibition can be checked at the official cafe ‘Indiple’ of the Korea Indie Game Association.
