The Korean Indie Game Association (Chairman Hoon Choi) announced on the 30th that it would hold the ‘2022 Indie Awards’ for Korean indie games that are being released and serviced in 2022.
The ‘Indie Game Awards,’ which will be held for the second time this year following the first ‘Indie Game Awards in 2018, is an indie game awards festival that will be held as an offline event again through the relaxation of the Corona 19 policy. The Korea Indie Game Association hosts and supervises the event, and Megazone Cloud and AdX Plus participate as sponsors.
Submissions will be accepted until midnight on December 18th. Indie game developers and team (individual) developers who wish to submit applications can apply through the official Naver cafe ‘Indiple’ of the Korea Indie Game Association. Participation qualifications are for small domestic developers (operators) or development teams with less than 10 people who develop indie games and individual developers.
The total prize money is about 6 million won, and it is divided into general and student divisions, and the selection is made by adding the evaluation of professional game judges and online/offline voting for general game users. The general division selects a total of six categories, including ‘Beauty Prize, Shiny Prize, Insa Prize, Imagination Prize, A Lot of Money Award, and Indie Prize,’ and the Student Division selects a total of eight categories, including two categories of ‘Best Prize, Excellence Prize.’
Details on the recruitment of entries for the ‘2022 Indie Awards’ can be found on the association’s official SNS channel, Naver’s ‘Indiple’ cafe.
