    Netmarble Cultural Foundation Hosts ‘2022 National E-Festival for Students with Disabilities’

    Netmarble Cultural Foundation (Chairman Jun-hyeok Bang) announced that it will hold the ‘2022 National E-Festival for Disabled Students’ both online and offline on the 17th and 18th.

    The ‘National e-Festival for Students with Disabilities’, called the e-sports Olympics for students with disabilities, is co-hosted by the Netmarble Cultural Foundation, the National Institute of Special Education, and the Korea Creative Content Agency, and is sponsored by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Netmarble has been co-hosting this event for 14 years since 2009.

    This year, in line with the COVID-19 situation, most of the e-sports competitions and information contests will be operated online, and four events that require on-site screening will be held offline at the Grand Plaza Cheongju Hotel located in Cheongju, Chungcheongbuk-do.

    The event starts with an online opening ceremony at 1 pm on the 17th, and athletes with disabilities and non-disabled students selected through online regional qualifiers from June to July will compete in good faith through information contests and e-sports competitions.

    The information contest consists of 16 sports including robot coding, Hangul below, and PowerPoint, and the e-sports competition consists of 9 events including ‘Everyone’s Marvel (mobile)’, ‘Magumagu Remaster (PC)’, and ‘Switch Bowling (PC)’. Finals and finals will be held as events. The finals of the five e-sports competitions will be broadcast live on the YouTube channel on the 18th. The detailed schedule of the competition can be found on the official website of the ‘2022 National E-Festival for Students with Disabilities’.

    The winner of each category is awarded the Minister of Education Award, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award, and the Excellence Award, Encouragement Award and Fair Play Award winners are awarded the Netmarble Cultural Foundation Chairman’s Award, Korea Creative Content Agency President’s Award, and National Institute of Special Education Director’s Award, respectively.

    Netmarble Cultural Foundation CEO Kim Seong-cheol said, “I applaud the efforts and passion of all who participated in the ‘National e-Sports Festival for Students with Disabilities,’ the only e-sports competition for students with disabilities in Korea. “The Netmarble Cultural Foundation will continue to carry out activities to create and expand a healthy game culture for students with disabilities.”

    The opening ceremony of the ‘2022 National E-Festival for Students with Disabilities’ can be found on the YouTube channel (https://mar.by/_ne55) from 1pm on Monday, October 17th. The main scenes and awards ceremony will be revealed at the online cultural event to be held on November 1st, and various participatory events such as online quizzes, comment drawing, and lucky draw will also be held on this day.
