The reception of indie games to be exhibited at G-STAR 2022, an international game exhibition to be held at the BEXCO exhibition hall in Busan in November, has started.
The G-Star Secretariat is open from September 30 (Fri) to October 14 (Fri) for indie game developers who will participate in G-Star 2022, which will be held for four days from November 17 (Thu) to 20 (Sun). It was announced that the application for participation will be held until then.
This indie game exhibition will be held offline in the ‘G-STAR X BIC Showcase 2022’ exhibition booth, and a total of about 20 works will be selected and exhibited along with about 20 works from the BIC Festival 2022 exhibition.
Any indie game developer (company) over the age of 14 can apply for participation. However, board games and speculative games cannot be accepted, and works with legal issues such as copyright, license, or plagiarism may be restricted from exhibiting.
In addition to the offline booth support for the exhibition, the final selected indie game works will be provided with accommodations for the participants during the exhibition period (November 16-20, 4 nights planned, double room, room share).
In addition, it will be introduced through the live broadcast of the ‘G-Star Indie Awards’ which will be held from 10 o’clock on Sunday, November 20th. At the awards ceremony, three outstanding works were selected through on-site screening of entries in the G-STAR indie category, ‘Best Xsolla party game’ supported by Xsolla ($5,000 prize money), ‘The most fun multiplayer game’ ($3,000 prize money), and Xolla Mobile Choice’ ($2,000) will be awarded.
