Neowiz announced on the 17th that it would acquire Heidier, a mobile indie game developer, as a subsidiary.
The acquisition stake is 100%, and the acquisition price is KRW 20 billion. This is the third M&A following Sticky Hands and Gemfleet this year, and Neowiz is able to secure a mobile game lineup and IP while further strengthening its global competitiveness.
Heidier is a mobile game developer established in 2012. The first work was ranked No. 1 in 8 countries in Southeast Asia, including Korea, and No. 8 in the App Store in China. Another game was selected in the top 10 of the Google Play Indie Game Festival 2017 and accumulated globally. It reached 3 million downloads.
In October, the healing idle game was officially released. is characterized by cute cartoon-style cute illustrations and easy operation. Recognized for its popularity and game quality, it was selected as one of the TOP3 in the ‘Google Play Indie Game Festival 2021’, and within a month of its release, it has surpassed 1.5 million global downloads and achieved 600,000 daily users.
In particular, as it is receiving a high response in the North American market, various marketing activities are scheduled in the future, so more results are expected in the global market.
As Heidier has strengths in casual mobile game development, it plans to work with Neowiz to prepare the next work with original and game characteristics.
