    Conjin One Hosts Character Licensing Fair 2021

    “Simultaneous holding of ‘Licensing Con 2021’, the only IP licensing business conference in Korea”

    The ‘Character Licensing Fair 2021 (hereinafter referred to as Character Fair)’ hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister Hwang Hee) and co-hosted by the Korea Creative Content Agency (Director Hyeon-Rae Cho, hereinafter referred to as Konjin-Won) and COEX (CEO Lee Dong-won) will be held from November 25. It will be held at COEX Halls C and D1 in Samseong-dong, Seoul for four days until the 28th. In addition, ‘Licensing Con 2021’ will be held simultaneously in the conference room on the 4th floor of COEX for two days from the 25th.

    ‘Character Fair’ is the largest character licensing event in Korea that attracts more than 100,000 visitors every year, and will be held for the first time in two years due to COVID-19. This year, under the theme of ‘Character Multiplex’, we present the expansion of the content IP licensing industry and unlimited growth potential.

    ◆ Characters and content 200 companies participated, a total set of sniper characters for all generations

    This year, not only ▲, , Iconix, ▲ ‘s Roi Visual, as well as popular domestic characters, as well as ▲, , < About 200 related companies will participate, including popular overseas characters such as Seoul Merchandising Company from Bonobono, and Lotte World from and and related industry characters.

    ◆ Relevant organizations gather in one place to support content IP business

    This year’s Character Fair is sponsored by NCsoft, Korea Character Culture Industry Association, Korea Character Association, Character Designers Association, Korea Cultural Contents Licensing Association, and Korea International Trade Association. In connection with the ‘2021 KITA Overseas Marketing Comprehensive Exhibition’, a wide range of domestic and foreign business matching opportunities were prepared.

    In addition, the production presentation, pitching, and exhibition of the ‘2021 IP Licensing Build-up Project’ will be held. This project is a support project to help strengthen the content infrastructure and production capacity in the licensing field by linking the platforms of large companies with the IPs of small and medium content companies. At this event, content cases in collaboration with large corporations such as Lotte World, Everland, and Megabox will be presented, and through demonstration of prototypes, biz matching, IR pitching, etc., it will help strengthen business capabilities and revitalize distribution.

    Meanwhile, during the event period, a social contribution event in which character goods brought by visitors are collected and donated through the ‘Character + Cycle Challenge’ is held. Conjinone plans to protect the environment through recycling of character products, expand cultural enjoyment, and practice ESG through the character industry.

    ◆ Simultaneous online and offline ‘Licensing Con’ to seek a new strategy for K-content IP recognized worldwide

    Licensing Con 2021′ is the only business conference in Korea in the field of IP licensing, celebrating its third anniversary this year. This year, under the theme of , we explore future strategies for content IP business. On the 25th and 26th, various programs for effective business strategy establishment such as 18 lectures, special forum and live talk will be provided in 6 thematic sessions.

    On the 25th, SK Broadband managing director Kim Jong-won and Realize Pictures CEO Won Dong-yeon will give lectures on the theme of .
