Conjin One, K-game overseas expansion helper ‘Game Plus’ business support game recruitment

    By 인디게임닷컴 편집부2022년 03월 17일3 Mins Read

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister Hwang Hee) and the Korea Creative Content Agency (CEO Cho Hyeon-rae, hereafter referred to as Konjinwon) announced on the 17th that they will be recruiting games to support the ‘2022 Game Plus’ project for smooth entry into overseas markets by the 31st.

‘Game Plus’ is a business that allows domestic game developers to freely select and use professional services necessary for overseas expansion. Game companies can directly search for and use the overseas expansion support services they need, such as consulting, marketing, dubbing, translation, test services, and infrastructure, on ‘Game Plus’, a dedicated open market platform.

Conjin One selected 30 games in the first half and 7 games in the second half of this year’s ‘Game Plus’ project to provide a total of KRW 5.5 billion in services. Recruitment in the first half of the year targets games developed in Korea based on mobile and online (PC) platforms without genre restrictions, and must be available for direct release in at least one overseas target country by August.

Selected games receive up to 150 million won worth of usable points, and on the ‘Game Plus’ platform, they can freely select the professional services they need to enter overseas markets according to the circumstances of each game company.

A total of 166 services are registered in the ‘Game Plus’ platform in the fields of consulting, marketing, game service, and infrastructure. You can receive professional services in various fields necessary for overseas expansion, such as service support.

In addition, to help small and medium-sized game companies that lack manpower other than game development, Conjin One will assign a game PM to provide strategic consulting so that even if they have no experience in overseas expansion, they can launch games overseas.

The ‘Game Plus’ project will provide detailed explanations and Q&A on the application contents and application method through an online business briefing session. The briefing session can be viewed on the Conjin One official YouTube channel at 2 pm on the 22nd.

Companies wishing to participate in the project can apply through the online application form on the Conjinone website by 11 am on the 31st, with the required documents. The notice for the second half of the year will be announced separately on the Conjinwon website in July.

Yang-hwan Lee, Head of Game Division at Conjinwon, said, “Game Plus is a business that provides customized help for domestic game overseas expansion according to the demand of game companies. We will actively support excellent small and medium-sized game companies so that they can enter overseas markets without difficulties.”
