    By Editorial Team2022년 04월 04일2 Mins Read

    ○ ‘Gyeonggi Game Academy Startup Course 11th’ Recruitment by April 26th
    ○ Selection of a total of 20 teams (around 30 people) / Support for start-up and game development in a 6-month course

Gyeonggi Province announced on the 4th that it will recruit students for the ‘Gyeonggi Game Academy Entrepreneurship Course 11th’ by April 26, a training program specializing in game start-up and development.

The 11th group, which will be held at the Pangyo Gyeonggi Global Game Center, will select up to 20 teams. This year, customized education will be conducted according to the game development stage of each company. The basic course provides education on entrepreneurship and basic game development, and provides an in-depth course aimed at launching a game by selecting about 8 teams from among the students of the basic course.

Students receive customized support for ▲development support (up to 15 million won, for advanced courses and follow-up support) ▲ 1:1 project mentoring ▲ development lectures ▲ shared development space ▲ latest high-performance PCs and equipment ▲ internal/external networking benefits.

After completion of the course, the 3 teams selected as excellent projects will receive ▲ additional development subsidy ▲ free development space support (1 year) ▲ commercialization support (marketing, QA, resource production, etc.) ▲ follow up support for game show participation (PlayX4, G-Star, etc.) Support is also provided.

For more information on the recruitment of students for the 11th Gyeonggi Game Academy and for application, please refer to the Gyeonggi Global Game Center website (gcon.or.kr/ggc) or contact the Game and Digital Innovation Team (031-776-4784) of the Gyeonggi Content Promotion Agency. Do it.

Gyeonggi Game Academy is the first educational program for game start-up and development in Korea operated by Gyeonggi Province since 2016. So far, 10 start-up courses have been operated, and a total of 105 companies have supported start-ups and game development.

In 2021, PD Ko Seong-jin from the 6th academy won the ‘Korea Game Awards’ for his indie game Motae Solo, and the 8th generation Wonder Potion’s Sannabi signed a contract with Neowiz and is preparing for an official release. In addition, many students have won the Gyeonggi Game Audition and submitted entries to G-Star/BIC, etc.
