    KGDA Announces Schedule for 2022 Global Indie Game Production Contest (GIGDC)

    The Korea Game Developers Association (Chairman Jeong Seok-hee, hereinafter KGDA) announced on the 4th that it will hold the ‘2022 Global Indie Game Production Contest (GIGDC)’, a festival for Korean indie game developers.

    ‘GIGDC 2022’ for game developers with novel planning and skills is accepting applications through the GIGDC website for 11 days from June 27 (Mon) to July 7 (Wed) . The selection announcement will be posted on the GIGDC website on August 20 (Fri), and the awards ceremony will be held on November 5 (Fri).

    The subjects of application are divided into middle and high school, college, and general divisions, and are conducted in production and planning divisions , respectively. The total prize money of this GIGDC 2022 is 30.4 million won , ▲ the grand prize winner will be awarded the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award, the gold prize winner will be awarded the Korea Creative Content Agency Award, and the silver and bronze prize winners will be awarded the Korea Game Developers Association President’s Award.
