    Sharing expertise and know-how, ‘Unity Wave 2022’ held in May

    In May, Unity announced the opening of ‘Unity Wave 2022’ to share various professional technologies and know-how for creators, and released information about the first session.

    ‘Unity Wave 2022’ will be held from May 9th to 13th through the Korea Science and Technology Center and online channels. This event was prepared under the slogan of finding new opportunities with Unity in line with the flow of the changed world, such as the metaverse craze that has emerged as a core technology for the future.

    The event was prepared to enhance self-development and communication for all creators who want to use Unity technology, and various technical lectures and educational programs will be provided.

    ‘Unity Wave 2022’ starts with ‘Unity for All’, which introduces the Unity engine and technology on the 9th, and introduces a total of 5 fields including games, simulations, digital twins, and virtual/augmented reality over 5 days. In sessions prepared for each topic, successful collaboration cases and directions for business insights will also be presented.

    In particular, a number of lectures that caught the attention of domestic creators were prepared among the sessions released in the first round. In the ‘Unity 2022 Introduction’ session on the first day of the event, Kim Beom-joo, Head of Evangelism at Unity Korea, will be a speaker and introduce the latest version of Unity 2022.1 Tech Stream and new features.

    In addition, the detailed technology and production process of Unity’s new sample game ‘Gigaya’, whose teaser was recently released, will be introduced over two days from the 9th to the 10th. On the 9th, the technology and workflow used in GIGAYA will be unveiled, and on the 10th, the production process using Unity’s technology, tools and workflow will be unveiled.

    On the 12th, a person in charge of DSME will share a case of building a digital twin production planning simulation platform using Unity. The collaboration case between Unity and DSME is expected to be an opportunity for communication through technology exchange for creators interested in building and operating digital twins and smart factories.

    Anyone who pre-registered through Unity Square’s official website can participate in ‘Unity Wave 2022’ for free. Offline lectures are closed on a first-come, first-served basis.

    Insuk Kim, CEO of Unity Korea, said, “Unity has implemented various smart work support programs to strengthen technological exchanges that have been reduced due to the prolonged COVID-19.” “This Unity Wave 2022 is also an event designed to strengthen communication and support with creators” said He added, “I hope this event, where you can check the latest Unity technology and industry trends, will be an opportunity for many creators to share various inspirations.”
