Nientum – Op.ZERO Sets October 14 Release Date — QueseraGames’ Musical Story Rhythm Game Completes Early Access With Tokyo Game Show Selection

    By Editorial Team2026년 08월 20일Updated:2026년 08월 21일4 Mins Read

Nientum – Op.ZERO has confirmed October 14 as its full release date — completing the musical story rhythm game’s Early Access arc with chapters 6-10, 20 new tracks for free play mode, hard difficulty for all story mode songs, a collections system for completionists, and scene skip functionality. PC and mobile releases are simultaneous targets. The price stays at ₩23,000.

    The Game

Two girls awaken with no memory in a forgotten theater. Leora becomes the actress. Aleph becomes the stage director. The player runs backstage, hitting notes with two-key inputs in time with the performance, and makes choices that determine which ending they reach across 10+ chapters and 30+ tracks. The main story runs for 12+ hours.

The musical theater structure — literally running the mechanical operation of a performance while the narrative unfolds on stage — creates the integration of rhythm mechanics and story that rhythm games sometimes achieve as aesthetic and rarely achieve as genuine narrative architecture. The player is not a character watching the musical; they are the system that makes the musical run, which gives the branching narrative choices a different kind of weight.

    The Voice Cast and Sound

Koyasu Takehito as Mordred is the casting choice with the most immediate name recognition for anime audiences — a voice actor with a career spanning decades of prominent roles. Anzai Chika and Takada Yuki, as the two leads, bring dedicated fanbases from their own substantial careers. The full Japanese voice cast signals that the Japanese market is treated as primary alongside the Korean domestic market, which the TGS 2026 SELECTED INDIE 80 placement confirms.

The composer roster — Kagetora, Halv, seatrus alongside others — includes creators with established rhythm game community followings, which provides the in-community discovery pathway that rhythm game audiences specifically use when evaluating new titles.

    The Award Trajectory

BIC 2024 Excellence in Audio → Gamescom Asia 2024 Audience Award 2nd place → Google Indie Game Accelerator 2024 → TGS 2026 SELECTED INDIE 80 is the specific award and selection trajectory of a game that has been building institutional recognition across multiple markets for two years before its commercial launch. Each recognition builds on the previous in a different market or evaluative context: BIC establishes Korean indie credibility; Gamescom Asia extends this to Southeast Asian audience response; Google Indie Game Accelerator provides commercial validation; TGS SELECTED INDIE 80 confirms Japanese market relevance.

QueseraGames’ KALPA — a separate rhythm game with 1.7 million global downloads — demonstrates the studio’s ability to build and sustain rhythm game audiences internationally. Nientum – Op.ZERO‘s different register (story-driven, theatrical, Japanese-voice-cast) targets a partially overlapping audience while adding the visual novel and musical theater communities that KALPA‘s more conventional rhythm game design doesn’t reach.

    What’s New at 1.0

Chapters 6-10 complete Leora and Aleph’s story, which has been partially available through Early Access chapters 1-5. The 12+ hour main story completion is the significant content delivery; players who followed the game through Early Access get the full narrative they’ve been waiting for.

The 20 new free play tracks expand the rhythm game content independently of the story — allowing players who want the musical satisfaction without the narrative to access a larger track pool. Hard difficulty for all story mode songs addresses the skill-ceiling need that rhythm game players specifically want: the option to push difficulty on tracks they’ve already cleared.

October 14. Steam and mobile simultaneously. The theater is running again. The stage director needs the player backstage.
