Bellring Games and publisher Skystone Games unveiled the world’s first trailer for the new map ‘Solemn Needles’ of the dark fantasy action RPG ‘Mistfall Hunter’ at the ID@Xbox × IGN preview event.
Set in a world shrouded in the golden mist ‘Gildenmist’ following the War of the Gods, the game is an extraction-type game where players take on the role of a resurrected warrior, a ‘Guild Hunter,’ exploring dangerous areas, securing loot, and escaping. ( Extraction) It proceeds in an RPG style.
Combining a PvPvE structure with Soulslike combat, this title aims for a simultaneous global release on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S following the Steam Next Fest BETA 4 test in July 2026.
A world shrouded in golden mist after the War of the Gods
The world of Mistfall Hunter begins in the aftermath of a war between the gods and the Outer Gods. All the gods fell, and their blood turned into a corrosive mist called ‘Gyldenmist’ that covered the land.
Those who come into contact with the fog fall into madness or mutate into monsters. As the few surviving humans gather at the last stronghold of civilization, a girl named ‘Dew’ appears and manifests the ability to resurrect fallen heroes with immortal bodies.
The resurrected heroes, the ‘Gyldhunters,’ dive into the contaminated zone to extract ‘Gyldenblod’ from creatures mutated into Gyldenmist and restore the Web of Fate.
Vertical battlefield, oppressive beauty… ‘Solem Needles’
The newly unveiled map, Sollem Needles, was first revealed through a 90-second trailer and features an open terrain that is much wider than existing areas. Rough and sharp rock pillars rise through the thick fog to form a vertical battlefield, emphasizing a three-dimensional structure where threats lurk from both above and below.
Set against intense, pulsating music, the trailer offers glimpses of deadly enemy creatures inhabiting a new region. It is evaluated that the visuals, with their oppressive yet unique atmosphere, are sufficient to stimulate the expectations of dark fantasy fans.
extraction( Extraction) Adding Soulslike Combat to the Genre
Mistfall Hunter is a third-person PvPvE extraction RPG. The goal is for up to three players to form a team, enter a dangerous area, secure loot through combat and exploration, and escape alive.
Five classes are introduced: Mercenary, Sorcerer, Blackarrow, Shadowstrix, and Seer. Each class features unique weapons, equipment, and traits, and players can create their own builds by combining over 10 skills and various traits specific to each class. Additionally, players can freely switch between two weapons or combat styles depending on the situation.
To escape, you must hunt a rare creature called the ‘Returner Woodling’ to obtain the ‘Soul of Return’. The item is required to open the portal, and the high-risk structure, where death results in the loss of everything, maximizes the tension. A proprietary kernel-level anti-cheat system has also been implemented to ensure a fair competitive environment.
