Miklagard Studios has officially pulled back the curtain on Double Dealers, a chaotic multiplayer party game where the gift of gab—and a talent for deception—is the only way to survive the market. Taking cues from social deduction hits like Among Us and Liar’s Bar, this title shifts the focus from “finding the killer” to “fleece your friends in an auction.”

    The Art of the Cursed Deal

    In Double Dealers, the gameplay loop is simple to learn but devilishly hard to master. Each round, a designated seller chooses one of three random items to put on the block.

    • Asymmetrical Information: Only the seller knows the true market value and the two hidden “Clauses” attached to the item.
    • The Gamble: Clauses can be beneficial (doubling value, providing passive income) or catastrophic (draining your bank account or locking your assets).
    • The Pitch: Sellers must use real-time voice chat to convince buyers that a cursed trinket is a legendary relic, while buyers must listen for stutters, over-explanations, and suspicious confidence to sniff out the truth.

    Market Phases and Strategic Cards

    Once the gavel drops, the game shifts to the Market Phase. Here, players decide whether to cash out their items for immediate profit or hold onto them to complete “sets” from specific eras for massive bonuses.

    To add another layer of complexity, a Card Shop allows players to purchase one-time abilities or passive buffs. These cards can reveal hidden clauses, protect against market crashes, or actively sabotage a rival’s bidding power, turning a simple social game into a deep tactical experience.
