A new kind of indie game festival where developers and players connect will take place this weekend. On October 25 (Saturday), the first official offline festival “ALT+G (Alternative Game Festival)” organized by IGG Korea (Indie Games Group Korea) will be held at 97-1 Yeonmujang-gil, Seongsu-dong, Seoul.
A Festival by Indie Developers, for Indie Developers
The event is hosted by IGG Korea, the Korean chapter of the global indie developer community Indie Games Group, supported by Google Play. Since its founding in 2024, IGG Korea has fostered Korea’s indie ecosystem through developer seminars, networking events, and international exchange programs.
Under the slogan “Our Alternative Indie-Game Festival,” ALT+G blends indie creativity, playfulness, and cultural flair to create a hybrid cultural festival where gaming meets art, music, and lifestyle.
8 Official Selections, 2 Sponsor Titles
ALT+G will showcase eight officially selected indie games and two sponsored titles, chosen through a competitive review process. Visitors will be able to play and experience a wide range of genres and styles, from experimental projects to commercial-ready indie titles.
Outdoor Music, Food & Fun
The festival’s outdoor courtyard will feature a flea market and live DJ performances, creating a vibrant fall atmosphere. Guests can enjoy DogDogDog hot dogs, a popular Hannam-dong brand, and complimentary Red Bull drinks while exploring the festival grounds.
Interactive activities, such as a stamp tour and an indie game voting draw, will engage visitors throughout the day. Participants will have a chance to win ALT+G limited-edition merchandise and gaming gear prizes from DareU, including keyboards and mice.
ALT+G marks a new direction for Korea’s indie scene — combining creative expression, community connection, and festival culture in one unique celebration.
