Neowiz (Co-CEOs Seung-cheol Kim and Tae-geun Bae) announced on the 10th that it will participate in ‘Bit Summit 2025’, which will be held in Kyoto, Japan for three days from July 18th to 20th.
Hosted by the Japan Independent Game Aggregate (JIGA), BitSummit 2025 is Japan’s largest international indie game event. Held offline at Miyako Messe in Kyoto, Japan, it brings together indie game developers and fans from around the world to enjoy a variety of programs, including game demonstrations, lectures, and networking.
At this event, Neowiz will be exhibiting three indie games currently in development: “Hello Seoul: Itaewon,” “Shape of Dreams,” and “Kill the Shadow.” The booth will feature demo stations for each game, allowing visitors to try them out firsthand. Neowiz will also be providing on-site consultations and promotions for its narrative indie game contest, “Neowiz Quest.”
Attendees who play the games on-site or add them to their Steam Wishlist will receive a dedicated can badge for each game. In addition to promoting Neowiz’s hit indie game “Sannabi,” the event will also feature a limited number of fans featuring illustrations from “Neowiz Quest” and “Brown Dust 2,” furthering branding efforts.
Through this participation, Neowiz plans to showcase its indie game portfolio to gamers worldwide and incorporate feedback from attendees to enhance the quality of its games. Furthermore, the company aims to expand its presence as a publisher in the global gaming market, including Japan, and actively support the overseas expansion of Korean indie games.
Meanwhile, ‘Hello Seoul: Itaewon’ is a narrative-driven puzzle adventure game currently being developed by Jin-ho Kim, CEO of Gino Games, and has been receiving attention even before its release, winning the Grand Prix and Art Award at the ‘Busan Indie Connect Festival 2024’.
Lizard Smoothie’s new MOBA roguelike action game, “Shape of Dreams,” and Chinese indie game developer Shadowlight’s “Kill the Shadow,” are also expected to capture the attention of global gamers through BitSummit with their outstanding gameplay and robust narratives. All three games will be published by Neowiz.
