The GXG 2024 Game Music Contest, which accepted applications for 45 days from June 7 to July 21, ended successfully. A total of 106 teams applied, and after the preliminary evaluation, ten teams were confirmed to advance to the finals.
At the time of recruitment, the main event was scheduled to be held with six teams selected and four categories (total prize money of 21 million won), but as a result of the large number of talented applicants, a fierce competition was held with a total of 10 teams selected and five categories (total prize money of 23 million won) including the main prize due to a tie among the top teams. In particular, the original compositions submitted by the ten teams that advanced to the main event consisted of Korean traditional music, hip-hop, rock, EDM, and orchestration, so it is expected to show an even more diverse stage.
The main competition stage for ten teams will begin at 7 PM on September 6th. The final ranking will be determined by adding the scores from the on-site audience votes to the evaluations of the professional judges. The ultimate winner will receive a prize of 10 million won.
