■ Donation campaign with ‘Pechka,’ an indie game inspired by the story of independence activist Choi Jae-Hyung
■ Collaboration with developers Growing Seed Studio and Smilegate Hope Studio
■ All donations are delivered to Habitat for Humanity Korea and used for housing improvement projects for descendants of independence fighters
‘Stove Indy,’ an indie game platform operated by Smilegate Stove, is an indie game based on the story of independence activist ‘Pechka’ Choi Jae-hyung as a motif (developer Growing Seed, CEO Kim Hyo-taek), in cooperation with Smilegate Hope Studio. It was announced that it would conduct a donation campaign to improve the housing of descendants of meritorious persons.
The indie game ‘Pechka’ is a story game that tells the story of people living in an age of confusion set in Vladivostok, Russia, in the early 20th century. Independence activist Choi Jae-hyung, whose nickname was ‘Pechka,’ which means stove in Russian, and other real people and fictional characters who have gone through historical research at the time appear to experience the history of the independence movement in Maritime Province and the traces of independence activists. The mobile version, released in 2020, also won the Good Game Award at the Korea Game Awards for that year.
Stove Indie will conduct a donation campaign to support the descendants of independence fighters with Smilegate Hope Studio and Growing Seed, the developers of ‘Pechka.’ Participation in the campaign is possible through the Hope Studio donation campaign page, and all campaign participants are provided with a Hope Studio limited badge made of Pechka material and a Stove Indie discount coupon. In addition, Stove Indie donates an additional 815 won per sales volume of ‘Pechka’ in addition to users and its donations. The donation campaign runs until the 31st of this month (Thursday).
The donations raised through the campaign will be used for housing improvement projects for descendants of independence activists in connection with Korea Habitat for Humanity.
