    Seongnam City Announces Top 60 Selected Works for ‘2023 Indiecraft.’

    A global indie game festival hosted by Seongnam City and supervised by the Seongnam Industry Promotion Agency and Korea Mobile Game Association, the ‘2023 Indiecraft’ participation in the exhibition Top 60 List of outstanding works have been confirmed.

    ‘2023 Indiecraft’ was supported by a total of 263 small and medium-sized indie game developers this year, and from April 17 to 28, it was announced that 60 excellent works were selected through a fair and strict document and presentation review.

    The operation office evaluated that the works in the challenger (college student) category, which were attempted for the first time this year, stood out. Excellent game developers were selected to be responsible for developing the future game industry in Korea. Detailed game content information from a total of 80 excellent game developers, including 50 domestic companies and 20 foreign companies, including 10 challenger companies, will be released on the official Indiecraft website in May.

    ‘2023 Indiecraft’, which will be held at the Seongnam Global Convergence Center for two days from May 31 to June 1, is attracting attention as it is an offline exhibition held three years after 2019. If the online virtual game shows through the metaverse from 2020 to 2022 announce the beginning of a new form of participation in exhibitions by meeting stakeholders and users, Seongnam City will create an indie game boom by meeting game industry officials and users in real-time through offline exhibitions. A gallery space will be created so that ‘K-Indie Games’ can be seen abroad through the meta bus space dedicated to Indiecraft, and a system to watch B2B-specific global conferences will be established.

    In addition to the opportunity to participate in the exhibition, a total of KRW 100 million worth of commercialization support and commercialization support for sponsors will be prepared for the best-selected works. In particular, through the ‘Global Conference’ exclusively for indie game developers, information on various fields such as game development, marketing, investment, and trends from game industry experts at home and abroad can be obtained, drawing much attention. On May 9th (Tuesday), a business briefing session will be held, where the best selectors will gather together to introduce Indiecraft and network with related persons.

    In their impressions, the Indiecraft operation office said, “I admire the passion of game developers who have sent to Indiecraft every year. As it has been a long time since 2019, it has been a place where indie game users and related parties gather together, so the term global indie game festival is We will prepare well so that it is not colorless. We ask for your continued interest and support for 2023 Indiecraft, and we will see you at the exhibition hall at the end of May.”
