    Indiecraft to exhibit online and offline at ‘Gamescom 2022’ in Germany

    The global indie game festival ‘2022 Indiecraft Online Virtual Game Show’ will introduce the K-Metaverse Game Show at ‘Gamescom 2022’, the world’s top three game show to be held in Cologne Messe, Germany from August 24th.

    Last May, ‘2022 Indiecraft Online Virtual Game Show The FESTA’ hosted by Seongnam City and co-hosted by Seongnam Industry Promotion Agency and Korea Mobile Game Association, was supported by 241 game companies, the largest ever in a game show, and the final 50 indie games were selected. .

    In particular, it led a new game exhibition culture in the post-COVID-19 endemic era by exhibiting over 100 unique and trendy indie games, including overseas indie games that participated in global markets such as Taiwan, Indonesia, Ukraine, China, and France.

    Afterwards, as domestic and foreign interest in ‘K-Virtual Game Show’ was concentrated, Indiecraft naturally turned to overseas expansion, and from August 24 (Wed) to 28 (Sun) in Cologne, Germany to meet global users. It was decided to participate in ‘gamescom 2022’ held in

    The Indiecraft operation secretariat is in full swing to welcome domestic and global users through on/offline linked operation for this Gamescom. Through the offline PR booth, global users and game industry officials will be introduced to the best indie game information along with the indie craft event, and will be guided through the online virtual game show so that they can actually experience it.

    In particular, it is focusing on promoting ‘K-Indie Games’ through the global Hallyu craze by promoting the top 50 excellent indie games in Korea along with a virtual game show consisting of ‘Metaverse’, which will become the future food of the global game industry. .

    ‘2022 Indiecraft’, which was prepared to be accessed in a variety of ways anytime, anywhere on PC and mobile in May, is adjusting its system so that it can be played together anytime abroad. In the case of Android-based smartphones, in Korea, the application can be downloaded and accessed through Google Play, and overseas, anyone can download and run a separate APK file.

    The mini-games in the virtual game show that received favorable reviews from users in May will also be prepared as they are. In particular, Mugunghwa, which was shown in ‘Squid Game’, which led the K-drama around the world last year, and ‘Now at Our School’ are expected to draw more attention from global users.

    An Indiecraft official said, “We expect the growth of the Korean indie game industry with this global expansion of ‘Indiecraft’, which has established itself as a new festival for indie games, and will become a starting point for communication to start new exchanges with the world’s leading indie games.
