Que Sera Games announced that ‘Nientum – Op.ZERO,’ a story rhythm game developed and serviced by the company, has received the highest rating of ‘Overwhelmingly Positive’ on the Steam store page. As of November 5, there were a total of 565 registered user reviews, with a whopping 98% of users giving positive ratings .
The number of reviews, which stood at only 160 at the time of the official launch on October 14, showed a steep upward trend, surpassing 500 in less than three weeks after the launch.
Considering that the ‘Overwhelmingly Positive’ rating on the Steam system is granted only when there are over 500 cumulative reviews and a positive rating exceeding 95%, it has certainly made a strong impression on global rhythm game fans. The game is currently available on PC (Steam) as well as on mobile platforms such as iOS and Android.
A meeting of familiar dark fairy tales and rhythm action… Over 12 hours of main story
‘Nientum – Op.ZERO’ is a unique story rhythm game where players run behind the stage and input notes flying towards them in time. The story centers on two girls, Aleph and Liora, who wake up in a forgotten theater having lost their memories. The plot unfolds as Liora, an actress, stands on the stage while Aleph, the stage director, takes charge of the performance.
In particular, it reinterprets classic stories familiar to the public, such as ‘The Wizard of Oz,’ ‘Cinderella,’ and the ‘Legend of King Arthur,’ in a dark fairy tale style, unfolding a new stage in each chapter.
It adopts a multi-ending system where the direction of the final performance and the fate of the two protagonists change depending on the player’s choices on stage. The solid volume is also a noteworthy element, with the main story containing over 10 chapters and more than 30 songs, and the main story alone amounting to at least 12 hours of gameplay.
Full Japanese voice acting and a star-studded lineup… Story concludes in the official version
The insert songs for the main story feature Japanese vocals, and the dialogue designed to enhance immersion is also fully voiced in Japanese.
The main voice cast featured a star-studded lineup including Chika Anzai as Aleph, Yuki Takada as Liora, and Takehito Koyasu as Mordred, who delivered passionate performances.
In addition, renowned domestic and international rhythm game musicians such as Kagetora., Halv, seatrus, Sakuzyo, Team Grimoire, Ice, Sennzai, and Nanahira have contributed to the sound production, delighting the ears.
In the official version, the main story finally reached its conclusion with the addition of a large number of new episodes from Chapters 6 through 10. With the addition of extra chapters that allow for deeper enjoyment even after clearing the story, and 20 songs exclusive to the Free Selection mode, the total number of songs playable in Free Selection mode has increased to 30.
In addition, the completeness has been enhanced with the addition of a collection feature that allows you to view various collectibles at a glance, the unlocking of Hard difficulty for all songs in Story Mode, and a scene skip function to facilitate a smoother gameplay experience.
