- Suncheon’s First Game Company Expands Game Lineup by Linking with Webtoon and Animation IPs
- Deployment of skilled personnel to Suncheon and expansion of regional collaboration… Expectations for job creation and economic revitalization
- M Story Hub to adapt popular webtoon IPs into games… also pursuing collaboration with local content companies
Runosoft, a developer specializing in IP casual games, is expanding its game business utilizing global intellectual property (IP) in earnest following the relocation of its headquarters to Suncheon, Gwangju-si, Jeollanam-do.
Runosoft, which relocated its headquarters to Suncheon in May of this year, signed a tripartite investment agreement with South Jeolla Province and Suncheon City and established itself as Suncheon City’s first game company. The company aims to participate in the local content ecosystem by collaborating with the local webtoon and animation industries and deploying specialized personnel to develop games, while also contributing to job creation and the revitalization of the local economy.

Runosoft, which has been showcasing casual games utilizing global IPs such as ‘Disney Spot the Difference,’ is launching full-scale IP game business and story game development with Suncheon as its new base.
We will assign key personnel to each of the two businesses and, in cooperation with the webtoon content company M Story Hub, challenge the development of the story adventure genre, starting with the global mega-hit ‘I Thought It Was Just a Common Possession Story’ and ‘Wake Up, Hero’.
These two works are projects that expand the original works’ worldviews and narratives into games. Through this, Runosoft plans to secure story-driven game development capabilities and discover subsequent titles.
In addition, collaboration with webtoon and animation companies in the Suncheon region is being pursued. The plan is to enter into licensing agreements and establish strategic partnerships to expand local content into games.
In particular, as Suncheon City moves to attract content companies and establish a foundation for collaboration centered on the animation and webtoon cluster, Runosoft is determined to play the role of a link for the game industry in the region.
The company is also continuing its in-house development and publishing businesses. Recently, it has released several publishing titles such as ‘Raising the Soul Legion’ and ‘Cat Wizard,’ and ‘Bread Match,’ a game utilizing the ‘Bread Barber Shop’ IP currently under in-house development, is in the final stages of development.
Runosoft plans to diversify its business areas by pursuing both games based on external IP and in-house titles, and expand its lineup to include story games and internally developed titles based on its experience in casual game development and publishing.
