13 Indoor Game Exhibitions + Courtyard F&B, Tarot, Caricatures, and DJs… ‘Indie Game Culture Festival’ Bigger Than Last Year
Indie games and Seongsu-dong pop-up culture meet again. The indie game festival **’ALT+G’**, hosted by the indie game developer community IGG Korea (@igg_korea), will hold its second event on October 9 (Fri, Hangeul Day) at **Platz2** on Yeonmujang-gil, Seongsu-dong, Seoul . Viewing hours are from noon to 7:30 PM.
Once again this year, the centerpiece of the event is an indoor game exhibition. A total of 13 indie games await visitors. The central courtyard features side content such as F&B, tarot readings and caricatures, and DJ performances. The setup is designed for both those who come to play games and those stopping by while visiting Seongsu to enjoy together.

Potential proven in the heart of Seongsu at the 1st event last year
ALT+G was held for the first time last year. It was the first event hosted by IGG (Indie Games Group) Korea, an indie game community sponsored by Google, and took place on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM at 97-1, Yeonmujang-gil, Seongdong-gu.
The first event did not end with just a game exhibition. Along with the indie game exhibition, it was promoted as a festival to be enjoyed like a party, adding a merchandise flea market, hot dogs and Red Bull drinks, and music performed by seven DJs. The scale of the event included 10 playable titles and 4 games participating in the flea market.
Focus on the unique strengths of ALT+G
While large-scale events like PlayXpo, BIC, and Burning Beaver are stages that “showcase a lot,” ALT+G is structured to “properly showcase a few well-chosen titles,” and the number 13 can actually be an advantage for general visitors who are prone to getting lost among dozens or hundreds of booths. This is because the scale allows visitors to play all the games and talk with the developers within a single day.
Another point worth noting is that indie games have moved beyond exhibition halls frequented only by gamers and entered Seongsu’s street culture and pop-up routes. What indie developers lack most is the opportunity to meet “first-time users,” and Seongsu can be seen as a region that provides this opportunity with the highest density.
