French indie developer Glee-Cheese Studio and publisher Wired Productions have released the first public demo of their new rhythm adventure game, ‘MR. RECORDS,’ on Steam.

George’s story, first available in the Steam demo
In the demo, you can experience running George’s record store during the day, meeting customers and finding albums that suit their tastes, as well as rhythm action that takes you into the musical world of the records at night.
In particular, this demo captures the beginning of the story where George opens the record store he has long dreamed of and starts a new life. According to previously released information, the game features over 40 hand-drawn levels and original music of various genres, as well as rhythm-based action where players run, jump, and dodge obstacles to the music.
PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions added
Wired Productions officially announced PlayStation 5 (PS5) and Xbox Series X|S versions along with the release of the demo.
Accordingly, the platforms for ‘Mr. Records’ have been expanded to a total of four platforms with the addition of PS5 and Xbox Series X|S to the previously announced PC and Nintendo Switch 2.
The game is currently available for wishlisting on Steam, and PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions are also being prepared for release. Wishlist support for the Nintendo Switch 2 will be added at a later date.
George’s new life unfolding with music
‘Mr. Records’ is a work that tells the story of George’s memories and life through the medium of music. It alternates between shop management and rhythm action through a structure where he runs a record store during the day and explores the world within the albums at night.
The game features various gameplay elements, such as rhythm battles, chase sequences, and mini-games, along with surreal spaces that change in sync with the music. In the private space located on the upper floor of George’s shop, players can review memories and check their progress, helping to organize the flow of the story.
The official release date for ‘Mr. Records’ has not yet been set, and a PC demo is currently available for free play on Steam. This provides an opportunity to check out the actual gameplay ahead of Steam Next Fest, which will be held this coming October.
