PaiBand Studio, an indie developer from Oman, announced that it will release the healing ecosystem restoration simulation ‘Restore Your Island’ on Steam (PC and macOS) on April 9, 2026.
The game is a healing restoration simulation where you revive an island abandoned due to environmental pollution. You must clean up trash and rescue animals to transform the island step by step, enjoying a quiet and heartwarming experience with a loyal companion dog.
A journey to restore a devastated paradise
The gamer arrives at an island devastated by the passage of time, everyone’s indifference and neglect, and trash, and begins the restoration process. Together with a loyal dog, you must clean the beaches, rescue animals trapped in the debris, and restore the once-beautiful island to a living, breathing space.
The collected waste can be sold or recycled to turn it into resources, and you must gradually transform the island by utilizing them to upgrade tools and open up new areas.
From cleaning and recycling to construction and animal rescue… 4-stage restoration structure
The gameplay is largely composed of four axes.
First and foremost, the core task is cleaning up trash throughout the island, and the collected waste is converted into resources needed to construct new machinery and structures through recycling machines. Various animals, including marine life and birds, are trapped in ropes, nets, and plastic bags, and as they are rescued one by one, life begins to return to the island.
As the island becomes cleaner, a new ecosystem forms, and the ultimate goal of the game is to restore nature’s balance by planting trees and rebuilding habitats. You can also use profits to build and freely decorate personalized cabins.
Realistic visuals based on Unreal Engine 5.6
The game is based on a first-person 3D environment built with Unreal Engine 5.6. It features a realistic art style that captures natural textures and lighting, and the process of the island gradually becoming clean and regaining its vitality is visually distinct.
In particular, scenes such as relaxing by a campfire with a pet dog after completing the cabin enhance the healing elements. The lo-fi acoustic and ambient soundtracks also add to the calm sense of immersion.

The companion dog accompanying the protagonist is not merely a companion, but a partner who shares the entire process of exploration and cleaning. The moments of bonding while running along the beach and resting by a campfire in a cabin create the emotional warmth of the entire game.

PaiBand Studio is an Oman-based two-person indie development team consisting of long-time partners who have collaborated for over 10 years. They are challenging the official Steam release of a healing indie game in the Arab world. As an exceptional case, it is attracting attention from the global indie game community.
The Steam demo, released in October 2025, received a “very positive” rating out of 274 reviews. Game media outlet Game Craves commented, “It feels like a real restoration simulator, and the island becomes vivid as you progress,” while LadiesGamers described it as having “a structure suitable for both short and long playthroughs.”
While some raised the need to improve content diversity, the development team announced plans to improve the official version by actively incorporating community feedback.
