‘2023 Play Expo (PlayX4)’, the largest convergence game show in the metropolitan area hosted by Gyeonggi-do and hosted by Gyeonggi Content Agency and KINTEX, will be held at KINTEX, Goyang City from May 11th to 14th.

As PlayExpo has led small and medium-sized game companies to develop markets and create a sound game culture for gamers, this event also provides a special experience and opportunity to both game companies and visitors.
The Play Expo consists of an export conference (May 11-12, Hall 6) and an exhibition (May 11-14, Hall 7-8). In addition, the ‘Gyeonggi e-Sports Festival,’ which was diversely composed of last year’s campus competitions in which 58 universities participated, as well as competitions for the disabled and events inviting Internet celebrities (influencers), will be held at the same time this year at the Play Expo to provide more rich things to see. Nicalis, an American distribution company specializing in indie that the Korean indie game industry most wants to meet, Tilting Point, one of the top 10 American distributors, and Gameforge, a leading German PC online game distribution company, are expanding their investment in Korean games. China’s esi games, Southeast Asia’s largest distributor Garena, Vietnam’s state-run broadcaster, and esports company VTV Live will participate.
In addition, a special hall is operated to support the expansion of diversity in connection with intellectual property rights (IP) and export channels to overseas markets. CJ ENM, a major intellectual property operator in Korea, is preparing to organize a special hall, and Xbox (Microsoft XBOX) for console connection and BiliBili, a Chinese cultural community video platform, are discussing the formation of a special hall. In addition, seminars on the overseas expansion of branch managers of game operators operating overseas will be held to provide useful information on ways to enter emerging markets such as the Philippines, Thailand, and Brazil, as well as understanding local trends.
As the exhibition is also held at a time when COVID-19 regulations have been eased, expectations are higher than ever.
