Held a game academy for young people, 12 million won in prize money
Incheon Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Nam-chun) announced that it will hold the ‘2021 Incheon Indie Game Academy’ for young people over the age of 19 from the 28th to the 18th of December to produce digital contents through the unique ideas of young people.
Incheon Indie Game Academy, which will be held for the first time this year, aims to enhance the understanding of the game industry and to nurture experts in the game field through the process of planning, developing, and creating game contents for young people who are interested in digital contents.
The indie game academy provides special lectures on contents by experts, systematic education through mentoring of game industry practitioners, and game jams for 2 days and 1 night, and ultimately develops Incheon’s unique contents such as game planning, game development, game design, and game music. It will be promoted as part of the development process.
In addition, at the end of the indie game academy, a certificate of completion will be issued according to the completion of the training, and the final content will be judged by the final game jam, and a total of 12 million won in prize money will be awarded for each ranking.
Meanwhile, those who wish to participate are young adults 19 years of age or older who are interested in games and digital contents (university students are selected first).
