◯ The Korea Indie Game Association, MBC Academy Computer Education Center Gimhae Campus, and Inje University signed an MOU for customized job training for local youth.
◯ Promoting youth employment and supporting job creation through joint development of practical training courses in the gaming and IT fields.

The MBC Academy Computer Education Center, a non-profit organization headed by the Korea Indie Game Association (Chairman Song Chang-ho), held an opening ceremony on the 13th at the Gimhae Campus in Naedong, Gimhae-si, Gyeongsangnam-do, and announced that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Inje University for ‘local youth employment education.’

The event, held on this day, proceeded in the following order: ▲Gimhae Campus Opening Ceremony ▲Korea Indie Game Association-Inje University MOU Signing ▲Youth Employment Education Program Meeting. The event was attended by Song Chang-ho, President of the Korea Indie Game Association, Kim Seong-beom, Vice President of Inje University, Kim Sang-gyun, Head of the Department of Computer Engineering, Professors Kim Kyung-i and Choi Yun-seong of the Department of AI Software, and officials from related organizations.

This agreement aims to strengthen the employment capabilities of local youth in the gaming and IT sectors and jointly develop and operate practical training programs. In particular, the Korea Indie Game Association plans to leverage its industry network and practical expertise to contribute to expanding youth employment and realizing social value.

The meeting discussed the necessity of a “Portfolio & Practical Training Program” and specific operational plans. The Korea Indie Game Association announced that it will collaborate with the Gimhae Campus to focus on developing customized talent tailored to the needs of the local industry.

“This agreement is an important opportunity to go beyond simple educational support and help young people gain practical job competitiveness,” said Association Chairman Song Chang-ho. “We will provide new opportunities for local youth along with the growth of the game and content industries.”

The MB Academy Computer Education Center’s Gimhae Campus is currently recruiting students for two courses: the “Free Metaverse Planning and Graphics Course” and the “Unity Game Developer Training Course.” The Korea Indie Game Association plans to continue expanding its customized youth education programs by working closely with local universities and institutions.
