‘Linguist FPS’, a unique game that allows you to study a foreign language while enjoying a first-person shooter (FPS), has been officially released through Steam.
The game was developed by Rocket Boys Games, an indie game developer based in Canberra, Australia, consisting of two developers. Rocket Boy Games released their first dot animation-style ‘Peter’s Adventures in English’ last year and received positive reviews from users.
‘Lingust FPS’, released through the PC game platform Steam, can be easily played by users who have experienced FPS games. The difficulty level of the basic game is not very high, and the player performs the missions presented in the language selected by the player during the game to obtain and upgrade weapons and equipment.
‘Lingust FPS is noteworthy in that it pursues both the fun of FPS games and foreign language learning, unlike the existing simple quizzes or word-matching type of language learning games. The game supports a total of 13 languages, including Korean, and will be added later. The developer said that it provides about 10 hours of play time for beginners.
