Musical chairs has one rule everyone knows: when the music stops, sit down. Chair Chase adds a complication: the chairs don’t want you to. The online party game from Turkish indie studio Babs Games launches on PC via Steam on November 2.
Chair Chase is a 2- to 8-player multiplayer party game that takes classic playground rules like musical chairs and adds high-speed chases. Players race across wide maps, competing to claim “living chairs” that flee unpredictably.
The Steam page lists party game, parkour, 3D platformer, and casual tags, pointing to fast, varied action.
Chase, Sit, Hold On: Seven Rounds
The basic rules echo musical chairs. When the music plays, the chairs scatter across the map, forcing players to chase them. Players run, jump, and dash through obstacle-filled courses to catch them, and can shove other players aside to shake off rivals.
Sitting down doesn’t mean you’re safe. A short balance duel follows, while other players try to knock the seated player off.
Hold on to the end, and you earn points and a key. The chair then vanishes and reappears from a pipe somewhere in the house. After seven rounds, the player with the most points wins.
Weapons, Shops, and Parkour Points
Claiming chairs isn’t the only way to score. Treasure chests around the map can be opened with keys earned from chairs, and they hold items that help in the chase.
Running parkour courses and disrupting other players also earns points, which can be spent in a shop that appears between rounds.
Weapons for chasing and harassing rivals are part of the mix too. Examples shared by the developer include a jetpack that launches you toward a chair and a glue gun that sticks friends in place. Because every player can use weapons, chasing chairs and fending off rivals happen at the same time.
Play With Friends or Jump Into Public Matches
Players can create a lobby to play with friends or join public matches. The Steam page also lists streaming support.
The setting is the inside of a big house. The developer says every round plays out differently, mixing chases, parkour, mistakes, last-second comebacks, and weapons.
A Self-Published Turkish Indie, With an AI Disclosure
Babs Games handles both development and publishing. According to the Steam page’s AI-generated content disclosure, AI tools were used in an assisting role for code and music during development, and the team reviewed and revised the AI output before putting it into the game.
Chair Chase supports 31 languages, including Korean with interface and subtitles. Full audio is available only in English. Minimum specs are Windows 10 64-bit, an Intel Core i3-4130 or AMD FX-4300, 4GB RAM, a GTX 750 Ti-class graphics card, and 2GB of storage.
Who This Is For
Strong fit for: friend groups looking for a chaotic, easy-to-learn party game; fans of physics-y, shove-heavy multiplayer games like Fall Guys or Gang Beasts; streamers wanting quick, reactive rounds; players with modest PCs, given the low minimum specs; Korean-language players, who get interface and subtitle support.
Cautious fit for: solo players, since the game is built around multiplayer; players who care about AI use in development, given the disclosure for code and music; anyone who wants a demo or reviews first, since the demo is still listed as planned.
Less ideal for: those seeking deep progression or a single-player experience.
The Takeaway
Chair Chase runs on one wonderfully silly idea: a chair that would rather do anything than be sat in. Wrapped in parkour, weapons, a between-round shop, and seven rounds of shoving and balance duels, that idea has plenty of room for party chaos. Low specs and 31 languages make it easy to get a group together, and it lands on November 2.
Release: November 2, 2026, on Steam.
