Under the couch. Behind the fridge. Rolled up in the toilet tank. Hide Your Cash, a physics-based party game for one to four players from solo developer Funcity, asks where you’d hide your money, and then lets your friends tear your house apart looking for it. The full release is set for October 27, and a free Steam demo is available now.
The game uses bright, cute, cartoony 3D graphics from a third-person view, and its Steam tags include party game, social deduction (Mafia-style), and comedy.
It also appears in Steam Next Fest from October 19 to 26. The developer says the current demo lets players try all of the full version’s content without restrictions, a confident move for a game launching the day after the festival ends.

Hide Yours, Steal Theirs
Every player gets the same house and the same amount of cash, and has a set time to hide it. Then players take turns searching each other’s homes. As the homeowner, you can block doorways, shove searchers away, or play it cool as if nothing’s hidden at all.
The goal is to stash your money somewhere like the toilet tank, under the mattress, or behind the fridge, while finding your friends’ hiding spots in their homes. You win by protecting as much of your own cash as possible while uncovering more of theirs. The developer pitches it at streamers, couples, and friends who don’t quite trust each other when money is involved.
Fold It, Roll It, Wedge It In
Physics-driven hiding and searching are at the core. Players can rummage through cupboards, fridges, drawers, wardrobes, toilet tanks, cushions, and rugs. Cash can be stacked, spread out, rolled, or crumpled and pushed into narrow gaps under the sofa, behind a cabinet, or between cushions.
You can also layer your hiding spots: push the sofa over the money to cover it, or put a jar inside a pot and tuck the pot back into a cupboard. Once the search starts, the homeowner can block entrances and push or grab rivals to drag them away from the cash.
Appliances can turn into unexpected hazards. Run the oven or washing machine, or flush the toilet, and whatever money was hidden inside is gone.
Three Homes, a Pirate Ship, and Six Modes
The game takes place in three homes: a small apartment, a toy store, and a snowy ski cabin. A Pirate Ship mode adds a ship anchored off a tropical island.
After each match, players vote on the next mode. Six are available: Classic, Pirate Ship, All In, Blitz, Silent, and Camo Cash. The winner starts the next match wearing a crown.
Players can open public rooms or invite friends, with built-in voice chat. Solo players can practice against bots. Controllers and Steam Deck are supported.
A Solo Project From Funcity
Funcity handles both development and publishing, and the developer describes Hide Your Cash as a one-to-four-player physics party game made solo. According to the Steam page, it was built in Unity, with some environment textures sourced from Poly Haven’s CC0 library.
The game launches on October 27 with interface support in 11 languages, including Korean. Voice and subtitles are listed as unsupported. Pricing has not been announced.
Who This Is For
Strong fit for: friend groups and couples looking for a chaotic, low-stakes party game; streamers who want reactive, funny moments; fans of physics sandbox comedy and hide-and-seek games; anyone who wants to try the full content before buying, since the demo includes everything.
Cautious fit for: solo players, since the experience is built for groups and solo play is limited to bot practice; anyone who needs a price or reviews before buying.
Less ideal for: players seeking a long-form single-player experience or deep progression.
The Takeaway
Hide Your Cash has a premise that almost explains itself: everyone gets the same house and the same pile of money, and then trust goes out the window. Physics-based hiding, sabotage, appliances that can destroy your savings, and six vote-driven modes give it plenty of room for chaos. Releasing a demo with the full content is an unusually bold move for a solo developer, and with Next Fest running right up to launch, it gives every potential player a chance to find out whether their friends are better liars than they thought.
Release: October 27, 2026, on Steam. Free demo with full content available now.
