The Mission: Six prominent South Korean indie titles selected for BIGEM (BIC Indie Global Expansion Marketing) Cohort 4 are heading to Japan to capture the attention of the East Asian market.
The Destination: BitSummit Punch 2026, Japan’s premier international indie game festival, is hosted at the Miyako Messe in Kyoto.
The Partnership: A robust public-private joint initiative spearheaded by Pearl Abyss, the Game Culture Foundation, the Busan Indie Connect Festival (BIC) Organizing Committee, and the Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency.
The Venue Location: Visitors and global publishers can find the K-indie pavilion situated at booth number 3F-C10.

A Fast Track to Global Visibility
Initiated through a strategic concept by Pearl Abyss, BIGEM has served as a critical launchpad for domestic indie developers since 2022. The program covers the complete international expansion pipeline—including funding overseas exhibition entries, booth logistics, physical operations, and localized marketing campaigns.
Starting with Cohort 4 (selected in 2025), the program significantly broadened its umbrella. While it previously focused strictly on standout titles displayed at the annual BIC Festival, it now incorporates the “Leading Enterprise” segment backed by the Korea Creative Content Agency’s (KOCCA) indie development support initiatives, offering global scaling opportunities to an even wider array of developers.
The BitSummit Punch 2026 Lineup
The six selected titles represent an array of distinct genres and mechanical polish, curated from both the competitive BIC Festival tracks and KOCCA’s leading developer divisions:
- Vending Machine Hero (Developed by Black Guardian)
- XX Logistics Center (Developed by Twin Chariot)
- Hallowonder Band (Developed by White Kite)
- Dr. Degauss (Developed by ZPINK)
- The Demon King’s Tower (Developed by Mugigo)
- Inari (Developed by 1HPSTUDIO)

“This exhibition gives our Cohort 4 developers an invaluable hands-on opportunity to interface directly with local Japanese gamers and experience international feedback firsthand. Through our public-private cooperative framework, the BIC Committee remains dedicated to ensuring Korean creators find tangible business opportunities and new horizons abroad.”
