Paidotribo, a two-person indie studio based in Barcelona, Spain, has officially released the miniature diorama sandbox game ‘Mini Worlds Dioramas’ on Steam and the indie.io store. The game is a relaxing creative sandbox that focuses on the process of building and tending to small diorama worlds without clear goals or missions.
The joy of building things up one by one… the process itself is the content
The essence of ‘Mini World Diorama’ is the process, not the speed. Players create their own dioramas by placing background objects, characters, props, and more one by one.
Thanks to intuitive controls, placement and modification are effortless, and you can take it out at any time to refine and develop it without rushing to finish. The very process of a small space gradually coming to life is the greatest satisfaction the game provides.
Starting with 4 themes: Sci-Fi, Urban, Mediterranean, and Western
The game offers a total of four themed environments: SF, City, Mediterranean, and Western. Each theme possesses a distinct visual personality and atmosphere, serving as a starting point for establishing the direction of creation.
However, the theme is merely a starting point. Since it is freely possible to mix different theme elements or modify them in completely different directions, infinite combinations are possible depending on the player’s preferences.
Weather, lighting, sound… breathing life into a small world
Once the diorama is somewhat complete, the stage of bringing it to life begins in earnest. With a single click, you can apply weather effects such as rain, fog, and snow, and animated characters, animals, and props add subtle movement and personality to the screen. Additionally, by combining lighting and ambient sound, you can finely recreate everything from a bright and lively atmosphere to a calm and serene mood.
Once the diorama is complete, you can switch to ‘Flight Mode’ to freely fly around and admire the world you created. You can also use the high-resolution screenshot feature to record the results or share them with the community.
The first game created by two creators with 30 years of experience
Paidotribo, located in Barcelona, Spain, is a small studio founded by two people with a combined career of over 30 years in the field of digital tools and interactive applications.
Based on a deep understanding of design and usability, we completed ‘Mini World Diorama’ with a shared passion for “creativity, accessibility, and serene expression.” This game is also the studio’s first game.
Developer Claudio Perisson revealed his development philosophy, stating, “Mini World Diorama started from a simple idea. I wanted to give players a peaceful space where they could enjoy themselves creatively without pressure. Whether you play for 5 minutes or an hour, I hope it is always a pleasant experience.”
The game is being evaluated by users as a fresh attempt to pioneer a niche genre, as it is a diorama-specialized builder rarely seen in the healing game genre.
