- A unique system where gameplay leads to real-world environmental donations catches the eye.
- Explore 23 regions · Up to 25-player multiplayer… Adds social meaning to a healing game
Magic Pockets, an indie game developer based in Paris, France, released the environmental restoration healing game ‘Clean Up Earth’ simultaneously on PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on April 2.
This is a healing game focused on the process of collecting trash and restoring the environment, characterized by the fact that the player’s actions lead to immediate changes in nature. There are no combat or restrictions, and players can enjoy the game with other users through cooperative and cross-play.
In particular, this title incorporates social significance by adding a system where in-game activities lead to real-world environmental donations. It supports solo, co-op for up to 8 players, and massive multiplayer for up to 25 players, and you can experience the game in advance through the free Steam demo.
Cleaning up trash revives nature… The pleasure of immediate change
The core of ‘Clean Up Earth’ is the modular cleaning equipment ‘Terra Cleaner’. Players use the Terra Cleaner to vacuum up trash, recycle materials, and repair damaged structures. Every action creates immediate change. Plants revive, wildlife returns, and polluted environments transform into vibrant landscapes.
The game features no mission time limits, combat, or penalties for failure, allowing players to enjoy it at their own pace. Instead, it adopts a structure where efficiency varies depending on equipment selection and cleaning order, naturally adding strategic gameplay elements.
23 regions set across the globe… including hidden stories
The game features 23 diverse maps inspired by real-world locations, including tropical beaches, deserts, mountainous regions, and Asian-themed environments. Beyond simple cleaning, the stories hidden beneath the trash add to the fun of exploration.
When you clear away the contaminated land, relics of ancient civilizations and forgotten traces are revealed, and each map, such as Area 51 and the Bermuda Triangle, has its own unique secrets hidden within.
Playable alone or together… Expanded cooperative gameplay
Players can enjoy the game quietly alone, play with up to eight friends, or join large-scale shared cleaning zones with up to 25 participants. The game is designed to respect the player’s comfort while scaling up to allow the impact of positive group behavior to be felt.
Large-scale waste disposal and restoration projects proceed faster and more efficiently when carried out collaboratively, naturally fostering teamwork. Furthermore, it supports cross-platform collaboration, enabling joint cleaning and ecosystem restoration regardless of the platform.
In-game cleaning turns into real-world donation… World’s first in-game environmental fund
The biggest feature of ‘Clean Up Earth’ is a system where gameplay leads to real-world environmental donations. When players clean up within the game, micro-donations sponsored by the developer and partners are automatically generated. There are absolutely no additional costs for the player.
This system has already been tested in real-world scenarios through the Jingle Jam and WWF conservation support partnership in December 2025, as well as the ‘Wings of the Ocean’ donation event at Steem Next Fest. Upon launch, micro-donations are automatically made to selected NGOs through collaboration with trusted environmental organizations such as World Cleanup Day, Plastic Pickup, Recyclop, Expedition MED, and Wings of the Ocean.
“I wanted to convey the message that small actions come together to create change, rather than a game that instills guilt or fear,” said Eric Zmiro, founder of Magic Pockets.
