Pearl Abyss announced that it will support Korean indie game developers participating in the “Thailand Game Show X Gamescom Asia 2025 (TGS X GC ASIA 2025)” through sponsorship of the BIGEM (BIC Indie Global Expansion Marketing) project.

Expanding Global Opportunities for Korean Indie Games
BIGEM is a global indie game acceleration project jointly organized by Pearl Abyss, the Game Culture Foundation, the Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency, and the Busan Indie Connect Festival Organizing Committee (BIC Festival). The initiative aims to comprehensively support exhibitions, marketing, and networking for Korean indie developers entering the global market.
Since 2022, Pearl Abyss has been a core sponsor of BIGEM for four consecutive years. The company has also supported the BIC Festival for eight consecutive years, contributing to a healthy and sustainable indie game ecosystem in Korea.
BIGEM 4th Cohort Showcases at Thailand Game Show X Gamescom Asia 2025
The 4th cohort of BIGEM will participate in TGS X GC ASIA 2025, held from October 17–19 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok, Thailand.
Six indie titles that received awards at BIC Festival 2025 will be featured:
- Devil Within: Satgat (Newcore Games)
- Revenant: The Memory of That Day (ShinyeRak Studio)
- Monowave (Studio BBB)
- Blackout: Zero Point (Outdoor Unit Operation)
- Stepper Retro: Psychic Detective Quest (Team Tetrapod)
- Hellpunk: Purgatorium (Urban Oasis)
These games represent some of the most innovative and creative projects in Korea’s indie game scene, highlighting the country’s diverse and evolving talent pool.
Pearl Abyss Expands Global Presence with “Crimson Desert” Showcase
Alongside its support for BIGEM, Pearl Abyss is also hosting a regional media showcase in Bangkok for its highly anticipated open-world action-adventure game, “Crimson Desert.”
Crimson Desert is scheduled for worldwide release on March 20, 2026 (KST) across PC and console platforms, including Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Apple Mac.
