Indie game developer Rats announced that its first release, ‘No. 502’, has been selected as an official exhibit at the indie game festival ‘BitSummit 2025’ held in Kyoto, Japan.
“Room 502” is a youth mystery game set in a boarding school, where players investigate the strange events unfolding between roommates. As the cynical protagonist, Hae-eun, players form relationships with various characters and unravel the mysteries hidden within everyday life, experiencing the warmth of youth and the thrill of mystery.
This game combines emotionally focused direction, narrative-driven plot, and immersive mystery elements to deliver a unique gameplay experience. Drawing on realistic themes like Korean college entrance exams and friendship, it delicately unfolds a relatable, everyday story.
“No. 502” will be an official exhibitor at “Beat Summit 2025,” held at Miyako Messe in Kyoto, Japan, from July 18th to 20th. Bit Summit is Japan’s largest indie game exhibition and a leading international event attended by indie developers, publishers, and media from around the world.
Rats stated, “‘No. 502’ is a game that emotionally unfolds the genre of everyday mystery,” and added, “We plan to further expand communication with overseas users, including those in Japan, through our participation in Bitsummit.”
‘No. 502’ is currently under development with the goal of launching on the PC platform.
