Korea Game Developers Association and Chungbuk Global Game Center Sign Business Agreement for ‘Regional Game Industry Activation’

    By Editorial Team2025년 02월 28일2 Mins Read

The Chungbuk Global Game Center, operated by the Cheongju City Cultural Industry Promotion Foundation (CEO Byun Gwang-seop), announced that it signed a business agreement with the Korea Game Developers Association (Chairman Shin Yong-hoon) for ‘regional game industry revitalization’ at the Book Cafe on the first floor of the Cheongju Advanced Cultural Industry Complex on February 24, 2025.

Through this business agreement, they promised to cooperate in various areas such as game-related education, events, advice, consulting, and information sharing to attract or foster quality game companies and developers and to vitalize the game industry and foster companies in the Chungbuk region.

The Korea Game Developers Association, which was approved by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2003, is a public interest organization that has contributed to the development of the Korean game industry by exchanging and sharing knowledge among domestic and foreign game experts. It has been working to build a stable game ecosystem for small and medium-sized game developers and indie game developers and to protect the rights and interests of game developers.

The Chungbuk Global Game Center said, “We hope that the Chungbuk game industry, which has continued to grow since the opening of the game center, will be able to build a more stable ecosystem through this agreement,” and added, “We will spare no effort in providing various support so that game developers in the province can focus on development in a better environment, in cooperation with the Korea Game Developers Association.”

Meanwhile, the Game Center, which has expanded the territory of the local game industry through various support projects last year, including the successful entry of local game companies into the Japanese market, plans to make all-out efforts to secure the global competitiveness of the Chungbuk game industry this year, 2025, through the ‘Indie Startup Production Support Project’, ‘Game Content Production Support Project’, and ‘Chungbuk Game Academy’.
