Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Hyeong-jun), the Busan Information Industry Promotion Agency (President Kim Tae-yeol), and the Busan Indie Connect Festival Organizing Committee (Organizing Committee Chairman Seo Tae-geon, from now on referred to as BIC Organizing Committee) are organizing the Busan Indie Connect Festival 2024 (from now on referred to as BIC 2024) online festival. It was announced that it opened on Friday, August 9th.
A total of 245 indie games from 27 countries are prepared for the BIC 2024 Online Festival, which will be held on the official website until August 30th. The online festival allows you to enjoy the charm of various indie games by purchasing a single ticket and experiencing the games to your heart’s content without time constraints.
In particular, at this festival, many exclusive games can only be played online, raising the expectations of indie game fans. Through this, global indie game developers will have a valuable opportunity to promote their works further, and visitors will have the experience of seeing various indie games from around the world at any time and place.
Organizing Committee Chairman Seo Tae-gun said, “We hope that the BIC 2024 Online Festival will open a new avenue of communication for visitors and developers and that it will be a meaningful time to experience the diversity and depth of indie game culture through the event.” “We hope that the festival will become an important platform that can connect game fans and developers from around the world beyond physical distance and time constraints,” he said.
Meanwhile, after the online festival’s opening, BIC 2024 is scheduled to open an offline festival on August 16th. Detailed information about BIC Festival ticket purchases and events can be found on the BIC official website.
