Smilegate Future Lab announced on the 1st that it will begin reserving tickets for the indie game & culture festival ‘Burning Beaver 2023’, held at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul from December 1st to 3rd.
Burning Beaver is Seoul’s most prominent indie game and culture festival that Smilegate started last year to expand the base of domestic, indie game development culture and support creators. On/offline indie game experience booth, special exhibition ‘Ver. It provides a variety of entertainment related to indie games, such as ‘0.0.1’ and a goods store.
This year, the audience is greeted with the catchphrase ‘Jump Into Beaver World’ and the concept of a journey in ‘Beaver World.’ Visitors can experience a highly immersive exhibition by visiting several booths decorated according to the theme of the Beaver World worldview.
Continuing from last year, you can enjoy more indie game content. Ninety exhibition works selected after rigorous screening will be presented to the audience. There will also be a special exhibition where 12 game prototypes from the final presentation can be demonstrated.
Burning Beaver 2023 offline exhibition tickets can be purchased at ‘Ticket Link.’ An early bird discount will be applied during the pre-sale period from today until the end of this month, allowing you to purchase at a discount of up to 44% compared to the regular price, ranging from 12,000 won for a 1-day pass to 25,000 won for a 3-day pass. The stock price will be applied from December 1st after the event begins.
The online exhibition will also be held ten days from December 1st to 10th. The Burning Beaver 2023 online exhibition hall is accessible to those who apply in advance at the ‘Burning Beaver Online Exhibition Hall’ of the gaming platform ‘Stove Indie.’ You can play the same indie games as in the offline exhibition and share feedback on the fun. Advance applications for the online exhibition hall can be submitted through the Burning Beaver website from November 6 to 28.
To grow Burning Beaver into a sustainable creator platform, Smilegate has been running monthly Burning Beaver-related side programs such as Beaver’s Night, Beaver Jam, Beaver Salon, and Beaver Con since last July, with favorable reviews from participants.
